Spoiler Alert: This article contains detailed spoilers for Bosch: Legacy Season 3 Episode 8.

With the Bosch: Legacy season finale in the horizon, the show is keeping the audience on edge with some intense suspense and drama. In Season 3 Episode 8 titled La Zona Rosa, we find Bosch investigating the murder of Jimmy Robertson, which leads him to the cartel web, meanwhile Vasquez is forced to face the hard truth about her nephew.

Vasquez faces a difficult decision

The episode opens with migrant workers being taken in a van blindfolded. The cartel members mean business when, in the warehouse, one of the workers who arrives late is hurt violently using a crowbar by their leader, Humberto Zorrillo. A punishment is to ensure that it was not just for him but for everyone who doesn’t take the cartel’s operations seriously.

Meanwhile, Reina Vasquez shares with Maddie Bosch that she should have arrested Albert Torres. Maddie shared that if he is not caught soon, someone could get hurt badly. Albert is her nephew, who is very close to her sister. Her dilemma is obvious at the moment, but Maddie assures Vasquez that no matter what she decides, she will be there for her as they are partners. But Vasquez did not want to stretch it out. She shares all the details with the LAPD, who get ready to arrest Albert safely.

Bosch is determined to uncover the truth

Harry Bosch meets Sam the dog walker, who sees Robertson’s photo, where he is shot in the head. He tells her that he is going to get the culprit.

Meanwhile, Honey Chandler has a meeting with Diego Perra’s lawyer, where she shares that his DNA is not present on the murder weapon. But Chandler insists on caution since he had confessed to multiple armed robberies. She suggests that if Diego Perra was set up, he may know who the real killer is and can help them track the person down. She says that if he helps with the information, she can strike a deal with lesser punishment.

Bosch decides to see Juan Doe after he meets a forensic chemist who traced the crystals under Juan Doe’s fingers to a place in Lancaster.

Vasquez gets in touch with her sister and nonchalantly tries to plan something with her to ensure she is not at home when the LAPD decides to lure and arrest Albert.

Bosch takes the help of Ken Gurbizs for the Gallagher murder case and gives him a file on a former spy. He asks if Gurbizs can go on a military style task.

The man behind the alias ‘The Pope’ is revealed

Victoria shares with her parents in the restaurant that she is in some serious trouble and pleads with them to help her out.

The menacing cartel boss receives a call from an unknown number informing him that the case against Perra has been stalled and that it may lead to them.

Albert is with Nestor Gomez when he gets a call that there is an emergency concerning his grandfather. When he calls his grandfather, he says everything is fine.

Bosch and Perry Lopez visit the company called United Chemical to investigate the drugs related to the case Jimmy Roberston was working on. On inquiry, the office informs that they do not know about Juan Doe. However, Bosch’s keen eye catches the cartel boss in the factory.

Perra informs the LAPD that he was hired by El Fuerte to rob the taco trucks and was even told by them to stay away on the night Robertson was murdered. He shares that a person referred to as ‘The Pope’ gave the order. While he doesn’t know any other information about the person, he can help with his drawing.

In Lancaster, Zorrillo is warned by Sheriff Jack Garrity, who was visited by Bosch and Perry earlier to find links between the company and Roberston’s case. But after the warning, he puts a tracker on his car, an indication that he may be playing both sides.

Albert is finally caught

Vasquez and Maddie are waiting for Albert to arrive. But he doesn’t show up, and the stash is no longer where it was before.

The sheriff informs the LAPD officials that Bosch and detective Lopez are on the case in Lancaster without authority.

Albert is trying to finalize a deal but is informed, to his surprise, that Victoria was already in touch with him. This worries Nestor deeply. But the LAPD were on it, and this was all a setup. Their choppers circle them. When Nestor tries to run with the cash, he is shot in the middle of the street. While Albert and Victoria try to run, Maddie stops Victoria and Albert and surrenders to Vasquez, who pulls up a gun on him.

Bosch and Mo ‘Maurice’ Bassi arrive at a motel where Juan Doe had supposedly stayed. When he opens up a mattress, he finds ‘Black Ice’. He calls Garrity, but instead, Zorrillo turns up. Though he does not enter the room, Bosch gets a good look him. Chandler had previously shared his image and the tattoo to identify the cartel enforcer as ‘The Pope’.
