Anthony Boyle will be appearing as Arthur Guinness in Netflix’s historical drama, House of Guinness. Helmed by Steven Knight, creator of Peaky Blinders, another popular historical drama, House of Guinness will tell the story of the family behind the Guinness brewing company.

Boyle will play Arthur, one of the four adult children of Benjamin Guinness, the man behind the success of the brewing company. However, Anthony Boyle is not a new name when it comes to working on an anticipated or popular series. The Tony-nominated actor has appeared in various superhit shows such as Game of Thrones and Derry Girls, among several others.

1) Masters of the Air

Boyle might look familiar, as we have been seeing him in several shows in the previous year. One of those TV shows is the miniseries Masters of the Air, where he played Major Harry Herbert Crosby, an important figure from a true story.

Crosby was a part of the 100th Bomb Group during World War II, and one of the courageous members who, even after going through health hazards such as suffering from airsickness, navigated their missions successfully. In the 2024 miniseries Manhunt, which narrates the story of how, after Abraham Lincoln’s assassination, his friend Edwin Stanton began a manhunt to capture the killer of Lincoln, Anthony Boyle played John Wilkes Booth, a stage actor who was also revealed to be the one who assassinated Lincoln.
