The latest Spring Baking Championship Episode 4 aired on March 31, 2025, on Food Network. It featured two challenges per the format: a pre-heat challenge followed the main heat. Bakers were instructed to prepare half a dozen faux eggs for the pre-heat.
While the participants were on task, one of the bakers, Raveena Oberoi, shared about the dessert dish she was preparing. While preparing to make brown sugar specula cake pop batter and mixing the dark chocolate, the female baker told the cameras:
"I also wanted to kind of like emulate a little bit of that April Fool's energy. I think about like candy. Especially with those crunchy malt ball centers. I am going for a blue, kind of like a robin's egg, and then decorating it with spring flowers."

After the bakers were instructed to prepare their own version of "faux eggs," everyone got busy with their dessert-baking preparations.
"So now, we are going to temper white (chocolate)," said Raveena.
She confessed to the camera how she felt that she hadn't yet "wowed" the judges with her flavors. Hence, she wanted to make something "rich and decadent."
"I feel like I haven't really wowed the judges with my flavors so I kind of want to provide something that's like rich and decadent versus you know all the citrus and the fruit that I've been working with," confessed Raveena.
Vancouver-native baker stated that she was "excited" to show judges her skills with this pre-heat challenge.
When one of the fellow bakers asked her what she was making, Raveena replied:
"I'm making like a brown sugar speculo (a crunchy spiced cookie) cake pop batter with like a dark chocolate malt ball center."
Explaining her dessert dish, the Spring Baking Championship baker shared more with the cameras. Raveena noted that she wanted to get into the "April Fools' energy" and prepare something like a candy. Hence she was going for crunchy ball centers.
So, Raveena prepared a coconut lime faux egg dessert and made Robin's eggshell with spring flowers. Later when it was her turn to present the dessert dish to the judges, she explained:
"So, I wanted to kind of emulate a robin's egg. So I have a brown sugar cake with a specula white chocolate ganache and a dark chocolate molted yolk."
Witnessing the presentation, judges complemented Raveena by saying, "Very springy, very pretty," and "Absolutely delicious."
"Wonderful texture. But I think maybe just a pinch of salt somewhere in there would have balanced out some of the sweetness," said Kardea Brown.
After presenting her dessert, the Spring Baking Championship baker confessed to the cameras that she felt she "redeemed" herself. She added that she was "super happy" as the judges "loved" what she had made.
