Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 is currently filming as the finale for the first season is set to stream this coming Tuesday, April 15, 2025. Set images from the upcoming second season have made it to the internet. One of these images is the new costume that Charlie Cox's Daredevil will be donning in the second season of Born Again.

The leaked set of images shows us a black suit. But another set image from the third week of March provided a clearer look at the suit. Turns out this suit finally incorporates the one thing that fans have been hoping for ever since the series debuted ten years ago on Netflix: the iconic "DD" chest emblem.

This black suit has fans excited, not just because of the comic book's accuracy but also because of the comic book event the suit is taken from.

Daredevil: Born Again season 2 might be based on the Shadowland event:

Charles Soule, the writer of the recent Daredevil miniseries Daredevil: Cold Day in Hell, posted a leaked image from the Daredevil: Born Again Season 2. On the surface, the suit looks like just a new suit, but those who know the comics will know the suit is from the 2010 crossover event Shadowland. In that comic, Matt Murdock suddenly takes a dark turn. Thus, all street-level heroes unite to stop this new Matt.

While Matt Murdock is possessed by The Hand's demonic entity in the comics, if Matt takes a darker turn in the second season of Daredevil: Born Again, it might probably be a fallout from the ending of Avengers: Doomsday. Whatever might be the case, fans are glad to see Charlie Cox don a costume with the "DD" chest emblem.

They've been asking for a costume with a chest emblem for a while. Something even Daredevil: Born Again costume designer Emily Gunshor addressed in an interview published in RadioTimes:

“The ‘DD’ logo on Daredevil’s suit is a big thing for the character. A lot of fans want to see the logo on his chest. But, for this season’s red suit, it was a specific story point and a very specific discussion that we were not going to put the ‘DD’ on his chest.”

She also cited this as a reason for not incorporating the "DD" chest emblem in the Daredevil: Born Again Season 1 costume:

“There are discussions I can weigh in on and offer opinions on, but, ultimately, for these comic book projects, it goes to a higher level.”

When their past identities begin to emerge, both men find themselves on an inevitable collision course."

Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 is still filming and is expected to continue for the next few months. Thus, it currently does not have a release date.
