The rapper Skrilla, also known as Jemille Edwards, was arrested on Saturday, August 16, 2025, while he was shooting for a music video at the intersection of Kensington and Allegheny Avenues, as per reports by Fox 29.
As per reports, during the music video shoot, Edwards fired from a toy gel gun at a police officer. The officer was hit three times in the face, neck, and chest, although the gun was a toy, shooting gel pellets. Edwards was arrested and faces serious charges, including assault on police and related offenses.

He posted it on his YouTube channel, where the rapper can be seen standing calmly in front of a police car during his arrest. According to reports, there was a huge crowd gathered for the music video shoot, and the police were managing it when the toy gun shooting happened.
McCann spoke with FOX 29's Kelly Rule and explained what happened at the music video shoot. He said that Edwards wasn’t being malicious; he was joking around, but admitted it was something you just can’t do to the police. He also said that Skrilla was calm, and the arrest was smooth.

''Definitely knew it was a toy. The kids who owned the gun were playing with it for 20 minutes before everything happened.''
