Social media influencer Meatball, who hails from Philadelphia, claimed that she was not allowed to get into a club named Linq Social Kitchen in Nashville recently because the way she looked was “tacky.” On August 21, the social media page The Neighborhood Talk shared several videos in which the influencer could be seen voicing her grievances, stating that she felt disrespected.
In one of the videos, Meatball said that she didn’t drive to the venue but booked an Uber, which cost her $60. She said:
“..Told me I couldn’t even come in the club cause I was tacky. It’s no dress code. It's no dress code or nothing in there, bro. It's a lot of girls that's looking like anything in there. And you telling me I'm tacky, bro? Is you crazy, bro? I got on Nike shorts with a white polo thing, bro. This is my image, bro. You going to call me tacky?”
Meanwhile, the GM of the place whose Instagram handle is @iamjailove, left a comment on The Neighborhood Talk’s post, writing:
“All clubs have a dress code. Even though it's not posted doesn't mean we don't have a dress code!! Nobody comes into our club with just anything on. Then the feeling of being entitled sent me. If she would've introduced herself and asked for the manager ahead of time we probably would've let her in ahead because of who she is.”
The person explained that not everyone used social media, and she didn’t even know who Meatball was, nor did the security team. She added that the security staff was doing their job, but the influencer took it the wrong way.
Meatball said she was judged, and the person who did so must be removed
In the video, Meatball first revealed the person who called her “tacky,” then gave viewers a look inside the place before speaking with the manager. A few other guys came to the scene, and she told them that her character had been disrespected. Pointing to another guy in the entrance of the venue, she said he needed to be punished. She said:
“Bro, no. He need to get removed, bro. He need to be on punishment. He just did some discrimination stuff, bro.”
Meatball said that the owner should have focused on security, not judging people. She explained that the guard’s job was to check for safety and weapons, not to make judgments. She also mentioned that he was wearing a polo shirt and shorts.
Another person added that maybe she was not allowed inside because she wasn’t dressed in a certain way, like wearing a tight skirt or showing off. They felt it was unfair that she wasn’t accepted for who she was and said they were tired of people being treated like that.
The influencer then spoke to a few people outside the club, asking what they felt about her being called corny. She also said:
“I opened my DM to this girl and she invited me to this club. It’s called the Linq.”
Meatball said her dressing choice was personal. She felt the authorities at the venue had the job to ensure safety and not judge anyone. Nevertheless, she felt embarrassed in the situation.
