Wiggins said the judge was upset because some sealed evidence had been leaked to the media. Speaking of the tapes that were played in the courtroom, Armon Wiggins said:

"So, the first day, they played the tapes and we were sitting in the gallery obviously. So, they turn off all the monitors so we can’t hear or we can’t see but we could hear a little bit."

He went on:

"Now, the first day, it was a little awkward cause you could hear some moaning and you heard the s*x music and you kind of hear some things. You can’t really make out what was going on but you could tell it was definitely a freak-off happening."

Armon Wiggins also observed the jurors closely to see their reactions. He noticed one older woman on the jury who didn’t seem pleased. He said she looked uncomfortable, often covering her mouth or face, but her expression showed she was upset and disgusted.
