TikTok influencers Matt and Abby Howard are going to be parents for the third time. According to an exclusive report by People Magazine from August 20, the couple said:

“Going for our third baby is almost more exciting than ever because now we truly know just how good it is.”

However, Abby Howard noted that her third pregnancy was not similar to her previous ones. The couple already has two kids, Griffin and August.

The couple took a cruise ship journey last year in September, where they booked two rooms. Sharing glimpses and updates from the trip, Abby posted a story, writing that she and Matt decided to go for dinner after putting their two sons to sleep in a room, keeping the baby monitors on. The story mentioned:

“So we ended up taking them for five nights and it became apparent that they weren’t enjoying it and therefore we weren’t either. So THEN we switched our dinner time to AFTER their bedtime and FaceTimed the monitors while we ate.”

According to a report by The Cut, social media users were seemingly upset over the idea, and many criticized Matt and Abby. Following the parenting backlash, the couple posted a video clarifying the situation. In the video, Matt said:

“We take our role as parents extremely seriously, and we love our children more than anything in the entire world, and we’re very protective of our kids.”

He also said they were not alone on the cruise ship, as their family members were also with them, and hence, the kids were not alone when Matt and Abby went for dinner.

Matt and Abby said they never leave their kids alone

Abby admitted that her post may have caused some confusion, which was why she deleted it a few hours later. She explained that she and Matt never left their kids alone. Even when the children were in the same room while the parents slept, they always kept a monitor on. During family dinners, if one parent stepped away, they used FaceTime so they could still watch the kids at all times.

Despite the online backlash, Matt and Abby said they were grateful for the family members who kept an eye on their sons on the cruise. Matt also said:

“Because we spent a lot of our time on this boat in our staterooms manning the baby monitors. And if it wasn’t for Abby’s extended family, we really would have not gotten a chance to really get out of the room.”

In July 2025, Matt and Abby completed six years of their marriage. Matt posted a photo with Abby on Instagram, writing:

“6 years of marriage! Here’s to 60 more! Who can guess what the white stuff is in the last photo? Hint: It’s not sunscreen.”

Griffin turned three in July 2025. In a video posted on Instagram, Abby said their son wanted a soccer-themed birthday party. As a part of the arrangements, they had soccer napkins, soccer plates. Since it was a summer party, Abby got some corn salad and some blueberry cupcakes, which were Griffin’s request. Matt and Abby also borrowed a water slide, which they set up in the backyard for the kids to enjoy.
