Taymor Travon McIntyre, also known as Tay-K by his rapper name, is currently undergoing trial for his second m**der. This trial relates to the m**der of Anthony Saldivar in 2017. At the time of the crime, McIntyre was 16 years old and a minor. Now, in 2025, Tay-K is 24 years old.
During the trial, Tay-K's sister, Kayla Beverly, goes up to the stand as a witness in defense of her brother. She revealed that when they were younger, Tay-K was the victim of abuse from his parents. It was not just Tay-K who bore the brunt of the abuse, but his siblings too.
Beverly revealed that the beatings and abuses started when she and her siblings went to live with their father in Texas. The abuse was their father's form of disciplining them. Keep reading to learn more details from what Kayla Beverly shared.

Kayla Beverly's testimony during her brother's murder trial has revealed new information about the rapper and his childhood. It is also a way of pleading with the judge for a lesser sentence. Beverly revealed that she and her younger brother were sent to foster homes when they were 7 and 5, respectively.
They were taken away from their birth mother by Child Protective Services and were sent to live with a foster family in Las Vegas. After a few years, both Kayla and Taymor were back with their biological father in Texas. This is when the physical abuse started.
During her testimony, Beverly revealed:
"His punishments were too big, like if we got bad grades then we would be punished... The whoopings got worse and worser. And then now it's not a belt, now it's a 2x4 [piece of lumber]. We get a certain number of hits. We get hit and then we have to lay there and we can't get up. There was times when, Taymor [Tay-K] was younger than me and he would cry. And just maybe they would think he was overdramatic, so they would tie him down to an ironing board, strap him down. Stuff like that."
On April 14, 2025, the jury decided that Tay-K is guilty of m**der of Anthony Saldivar, but he is not guilty of the charge of capital m**der. Since this is not McIntyre's first m**der case, he is already serving 55 years for k**ling Ethan Walker in 2016.
The punishment for Tay-K is yet to be decided by the jury. Whether he will be serving his sentence for the Saldivar case concurrently or consecutively with his previous sentence will be made known by tomorrow, most probably.
