Kathy Griffin was spotted on the streets of Malibu, California, on July 2, 2025, rocking her red hair and a 2018 merch t-shirt. The comedian wore a grey tee from her 2018 Laugh Your Head Off World Tour, black slacks and New Balance sneakers.
Griffin rounded up the casual look with a bag slung around her shoulders. The two-time Emmy and Grammy-winning comedian, who showed off her natural hair instead of her usual curls and bangs, was barefaced as she strolled alongside a male companion.
Griffin’s public appearance comes in the wake of her health struggles with cancer. In April 2025, she underwent a hysterectomy for a precancerous condition. The 64-year-old reportedly removed her uterus, ovaries and fallopian tubes.
Griffin battled stage 1 lung cancer in 2021, which led to the removal of half of her left lung and damage to her vocal cords.
The controversial comedian got tongues wagging in 2017 after she posted a picture of herself holding up a mask that appeared to be the severed head of President Donald Trump. She reportedly received immense backlash for her actions and revealed that she was diagnosed with complex PTSD after the incident.
Kathy Griffin revealed that she turned down a juicy offer to host The View
In a June 19, 2025, clip uploaded to her YouTube, Kathy Griffin shared with her subscribers that she had turned down a $1.4 million offer to host The View in the mid-2000s.
“I am just going to be honest, I had to turn it down because at the time between doing [the reality show] ‘My Life on the D-List’ and touring, I was making about 10 [million dollars] a year."
Kathy Griffin explained in her YouTube video that she turned down the opportunity to host the daytime show because she was in charge of her parents’ care at the time and couldn’t just leave them. She added that she had to pull the show’s host and creator Barbara Walters, aside to explain the reason why she turned it down:
"I want you to know why I’m going to say no. It’s not that I think I’m too good for this show, it’s the opposite: this show is too good for me.”
Kathy Griffin added to Walters:
“I don’t want you to think I’m blowing smoke, but between moving costs and I’m so entwined with my mom and dad. I have a house in Los Angeles, and it just isn’t feasible for me to do it, but I want you to hear it directly from me.”
