The feds recently hit Chappell Roan back for something she said during her performance at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California. For those who have not seen the clip, Roan, whose real name is Kayleigh Rose Amstutz, was sitting on a throne on stage, and said:

"F**k ICE forever."

The crowd started going wild, cheering for the 27-year-old singer, while she just looked at the crowd, shaking her head disappointedly, and then said one more time:

"F**k ICE."

Roan's statement caught the law enforcement's eye, and this time, they are not keeping quiet. According to an exclusive from TMZ, Tricia McLaughlin, the assistant secretary of the Department of Homeland Security, told the news outlet:

"Pink Pony Club is good. Pedophiles are bad. That's who we’re getting off of our streets. Get a grip."

According to statistics shared by TMZ, the Cato Institute found that 65% of people who ICE detained do not even have criminal records. Chappell Roan is yet to respond to McLaughlin's statement.

What else did Chappell Roan say about L.A.?

Chappell Roan acknowledged the difference in the crowd number from the last time she played in Los Angeles. She said to the crowd:

"The last show I played here was the Wiltern, which I think is a 2500-cap... So it's really crazy that we're playing two nights. There's like 40,000 people here tonight."

She expressed how she felt about the city, saying:

"L.A.'s my favorite city in the world, to be honest... I've been living here nine years. I’m originally from Missouri and I had a really, really tough time the first five years. and I know there's a lot of transplants out there,… I just appreciate the city I lived in, Altadena, which is close, and seeing the fires — I'm not gonna be eloquent about this."

She continued:

"I loved L.A. more than ever than. When I saw how the community came together in Altadena to help, same with the Palisades, I just realized that I'm so lucky to be able to live here and to play here, and the city has taken care of me, and it's my duty to take care of it back."

Chappell Roan has been in the music industry for almost a decade, but she told the crowd that she is always nervous performing in Los Angeles. In her words:

"I'm at a loss for words because I'm just so f**king nervous that this crowd is so big... and I feel always self-conscious at L.A. shows because, I don't know, I just feel like there's a weird professionalism out here, and I don't wanna feel that. I want you to not feel that."

Before beginning her performance, Chappell Roan concluded her short speech by saying:

"I just want you to feel like you did when you were a kid, when you were 13 and free... And I’m so grateful that I get to do that with my job and feel free to wear this on stage. And I needed this to just feel like myself. And I know if you move here how it can feel so… I’m just gonna shut up... There’s nothing else to say. I love you. I love the queer community."

Chappell Roan's bold remarks about ICE at the Rose Bowl stirred both admiration and controversy, drawing attention from federal officials. Despite the backlash, her heartfelt words about Los Angeles reflected deep gratitude and connection to the city she calls home.
