Adin Ross, in a recent live-stream, revealed that Konvy's close friend JJ was hospitalized after the former's car was shot at while they were live-streaming. Ross stated in his live-stream:
"So, obviously, I don't want anyone trolling about it, but somebody got shot, and as of right now, he's in the hospital. And I think it was... who was he with? JJ got shot. So, JJ's shot. All s**t aside, chat. So, prayers, and I'm getting them in a jet out here. I hope it's not fatal. I really, really do hope it's not. So, please, guys, that's what's confirmed, and all I ask is, please, you guys pray."
Adin Ross's statement comes after the video of the shooting went viral in the early hours of January 9, 2026. The 16 second video clip shows Konvy and two others, including JJ in a car where multiple shots are heard impacting it.
It is unclear as to which hospital JJ was taken to and if anyone else was injured in the incident. It is also unclear who the perpetrators of the shooting are as of the writing of this article.
Earlier in the stream, before coming to know it was JJ that was hurt and revealing it in the livestream, Adin Ross stated that he was in shock and couldn't confirm who it was that was shot. However, he managed to confirm to the viewers on the stream that the incident was real, stating:
"Sorry, I'm in shock... Nothing's confirmed but its real. Prayers for people because someone might have got shot. We don't know and I'm not gonna say who, cause I don't know."
Adin Ross continued:
"So I’m telling you guys it got confirmed to me that its real. I walked off camera and I called people and they're telling me its real and I promise you its real. And I wouldn't come at you in this room telling you guys otherwise. I made sure to know its real. So its a real situation."
The streamer continued:
"Its not no bullsh*t. Its not no fake sh*t. Its not no fuc**ng script sh*t. This is real. I don't know who the f*ck's hurt. I don't know who got hit. Someone got hit. I don't know. As of right now.. its one million percent real."
As of the writing of this article, neither Konvy nor JJ or their representatives have issued any public statements regarding the incident. The present condition of JJ is also not known beyond that he was shot and survived the initial injury and as mentioned above, taken to a hospital.

Adin Ross, after the immediate moment of coming to know about the incident, called up his contact at law enforcement and told them that Konvy was shot in New York in the Bronx.

Adin Ross was not the only one to react to the stream, with xQc and Clavicular also reacting to the incident, the latter being shocked by the seriousness of the incident, having initially thought it was some kind of joke or something.
