Almost three years after her engagement with Rory McPhee, Mel B tied the knot in a lavish ceremony that was held today at St Paul’s Cathedral. The wedding, which saw the participation of Mel's three daughters as bridesmaids, was also attended by a host of celebrities such as Emma Bunton, Katherine Ryan, and Gaby Roslin, among others.

Rory, who is a hairstylist by profession, popped the question three years ago, and speculation had been rife about their wedding plans since then. The couple had begun dating in 2018 after years of being acquainted with one another via the cousin of Mel B (actor Christian Cooke, with whom Rory attended school).

The 37-year-old Yorkshireman owns the Rory James Salon and has built a reputation for his exceptional skills, particularly when it comes to curly hair. He has worked with several famous celebrities in the past, including Lily Allen and Mel B. Rory McPhee has been in the hair styling industry for a long time and has established himself professionally, even collaborating with major brands like Redken.

Mel B reveals thoughts on Rory McPhee

After relationship issues of the past, Rory McPhee has been like a breath of fresh air in Mel B's life, and the singer has not shied away from giving him his flowers in the past. Apart from being a warm presence in her life, Rory has also helped Mel restore her natural curls after bad experiences with other hairdressers.

After much dithering, the two finally decided to give their relationship in chance when they were reunited through common friends in Los Angeles. The two would soon make their relationship official, which was followed by an engagement in 2022. In an interview with PEOPLE, Mel previously revealed her initial opinion of Rory, where she was quoted as saying:

"I was like, ‘Oh, god, boys will be boys, whatever.’ He’s just a friend, a family friend, nothing like that. He was just there patiently waiting, always there to give me a hair treatment, always there to talk. He’s a great listener. And he just became more and more of a friend, and more and more important in my life.”

She then went on to add:

“It’d been a long time that anybody was that kind to me. I wasn’t looking for intimacy or anything like that because I was still suffering a lot from PTSD. And he was just patient. He read the first draft of my book. He just couldn’t believe that a person that says they loved you would treat you like that."

Mel B was also coming off a bad divorce then, and Rory McPhee reportedly played a big part in lifting her spirits. Rory has played an instrumental role in the singer's life in the past few years, and their wedding has only increased interest in this couple, who seem to have found genuine happiness together.
