Katy Perry is gearing up for her first mission, NS-31, on April 14, 2025. In one of its first missions, Perry and an all-women crew are expected to lift off on Jeff Bezos's New Shephard rocket at 9:30 a.m. The ET singer will join journalist Gayle King, Bezoz's fiancee Lauren Sanchez, film producer Kerianne Flynne and two scientists, Amanda Nguyen and Aisha Bowe.
Fans can experience the launch in real time, with news outlets including USA Today and BBC covering the live stream on their websites. Additionally, Blue Origin has also started the live stream on their X channel (@blueorigin).
The One That Got Away Singer posted a picture of herself with her team on April 13 and captioned:

In less than an hour, Katy Perry and her teammates will take off from the West Texas launch site. The flight is scheduled to last for 11 minutes and per reports the team is expected to experience "a few minutes of weightlessness". In an Instagram post, Perry described that she has
"dreamt of going to space for 15 years" and it finally became a reality.
In an interview with the Associated Press, the singer revealed her long-term interest in "astrophysics." She added:
"We are all made of stardust and we all come from the stars.”
She told the news outlet ahead of the launch:
“I am talking to myself every day and going, ‘You’re brave, you’re bold, you are doing this for the next generation to inspire so many different people.'”
In an interview with Elle magazine, Katy Perry talked about inspiring her daughter. She noted:
“I’m flying for my daughter, Daisy, to inspire her to never have limits on her dreams and show her that any type of person can reach their dreams — no matter your background, your ethnicity, your economic situation, or your education level."
The Teenage Dream singer is all set to make her "dream" come true with Bezos' exclusive space tourism rocket.
