Rapper Slim Thug's house reportedly gets burglarized, thieves reportedly stole jewelry cash

Slim Thug, the rapper best known for his appearances with artists like Beyoncé' on her single Check on It and Gwen Stefani's Luxurious, has been in the news recently. On Monday night, April 7, 2025, Slim Thug's apartment was burglarized in downtown Houston.

As per the Houston Police Department, the burglary happened between 3:30 p.m. and 11 p.m., while Slim was attending the championship game between the University of Houston Cougars and the Florida Gators in San Antonio.

The police have said that jewelry and cash were missing from the apartment, and the investigation is ongoing.


Slim Thug's house gets burglarized

On Monday night, burglars broke into Slim Thug's downtown Houston apartment. The police said that officers went to the apartment complex on Texas Avenue after they received a burglary call at 11:20 pm.

Upon arriving at the scene, they found signs of forced entry and reported that jewelry and cash had been stolen. The exact amount has not been disclosed yet. The incident occurred after Slim left the house to attend the game on the same day at 3:30 pm.

The investigators are looking for clues from the surveillance video footage to spot the burglars entering or exiting the building. The investigation will be carried out by Property & Financial Crimes detectives and as of yet, no details regarding the stolen items are out.

The game between the University of Houston Cougars and the Florida Gators turned out to be a win for the latter with a final score of 65-63. Slim Thug, being a Houston Cougars supporter, was disappointed. Speaking to KHOU 11, he said:

"It's a tough loss for us, man. But you know what, at the end of the day, we still proud of our Coogs, they made it this far, you know what I'm saying?"

He then gave a positive and uplifting message to the players and their coach, Kelvin Sampson. He said:

"Shout out to the team and coach, I just wanna let y'all know we are not down, we very proud of y'all.''

He continued:

''Man, y'all held it down this year and took it further than anyone ever thought y'all would took it, so we proud of y'all, we salute ya, next year let's get it."

Over the past few years, Thug has released a few studio albums, including Thug Life in 2020, followed by BIGslim in 2022, and Midlife Crisis in 2023.
