More details about PinkPantheress’ upcoming Mixtape ‘Fancy That’ explored

On April 6, 2025, the 23-year-old shared more insights concerning the release of her highly-anticipated sophomore mixtape Fancy That. The mixtape has its release date slated for May 9 and would consist of nine tracks, including lead single Tonight, Illegal, Romeo, Girl Like Me, Stateside, Intermission, Stars, Nice To Know You, and Noises.

According to an interview with Mixmag, PinkPantheress shared some tea as regards to the inspiration behind the mixtape, explaining that the body of work is a nod to the creative styles of musicians Groove Amanda and Fatboy Slim. The songstress also gave her honest opinion on the forthcoming project, in which she talked about her love for “the size of the music.”

“All the music sounds so big and grand and present, and I really wanted to make music where it sounds like a statement is being made with the songs. I feel like that was what appealed to me, and it’s something that I wanted to take on board.” She said.

Fancy That’s lead single, Tonight, was released on April 4, 2025 via Warner Records, becoming the three-time Brits award nominee’s debut single of the year. The dance-pop song was accompanied by a country-inspired music video directed by UK-based director/photographer Charlotte Rutherford.

The pop star has also announced her two upcoming shows, which will be held at the 5000-capacity hall, O2 Academy Brixton, in September. Sales of tickets commenced five days ago via the website pantheress.pink
