K-pop group Aespa's fans react to their trailer for their upcoming mini-album, "Rich Man."

K-pop group Aespa just announced the release of their surprise comeback after weeks of radio silence since the first drop. The quartet announced that they will be releasing their 6th mini album, Rich Man, in September, and fans can't hold back their joy.

The trailer showcases the four girls being apparently kidnapped and transported to a desert-like place in a truck. Along with them, there is also an unconscious man, who turns out to be a surprise cameo from actor Koo Kyo-Hwan, from D.P., Parasyte: The Grey, and more.

In the video, Ningning was seen speaking Chinese, along with the album tagline, "I AM A RICH MAN," while Giselle only spoke in Japanese. The trailer gave off an eerie, transcendent vibe, where Koo Kyo-Hwan's character seemed to be in a dreamlike state, and the time between the transportation and the 5 people inside the truck seemed to be in a different time zone.

However, from the concept photos, teasers, the controversial hot-topic title of the album, and the branding, it seems like the girls are going for a more rockstar, edgy aesthetic and sound. Not much else is revealed about the actual tracks on the album or what they would sound like, and the trailer felt like it was made more for a film than a music album.

Fans react to Aespa's new trailer

Fans have been left stunned after the girl group dropped the trailer for the album "Rich Man." While some were talking about the visuals and concept, others were taken aback by the surprise cameo.

One fan expressed, "the two week drought was worth it!! this was me the whole time! 😂 the whole trailer was satisfying and highly entertaining~ i need more❤️"
Another said, "aespa 'Rich Man' trailer released! Anticipation building for comeback."
One fan stated, Whoa, the visuals already look 🔥! Can’t wait to hear the full album—aespa always delivers!"
A Kdrama fan noted, "Wait… Koo Kyohwan in an aespa trailer? Are we sure someone didn’t just Photoshop this for clicks?"
Another described, "Aespa leans on into a darker, edgier concept that blurs the line between pop and rock—with gritty atmospherics that amplify the message of self-empowerment."
While one user exclaimed, "aespa said ‘I am the Rich Man’ and served rockstar era with flames and attitude 🔥🎸 this comeback’s about to shake the system.”

The album is set to drop on September 5.
