Sabrina Carpenter is mere days away from the release of Manās Best Friend, her upcoming album, but the songstress took a break from promoting new music this weekend to honor a significant milestone.
On Saturday, Aug. 23, the pop star took to Instagram to celebrate the one-year anniversary of her groundbreaking project Short nā Sweet, which ultimately earned her a Grammy Award for best pop vocal album.
With a montage of photos and behind-the-scenes snippets, Sabrina Carpenter reflected on what the album has meant to her and her fans. She wrote:
āpausing from MBF to say happy one year of Short nā Sweet. one year of kiss marks, camaraderie, and being so f***ing horny.ā
The singer continued with a more emotional note:
āthis album is one of my most prized possessions and brought me closer to myself as well as so many beautiful people and places.ā
Released Aug. 23, 2024, Short nā Sweet marked a career high for Sabrina Carpenter, thanks to hit singles āEspresso,ā āTaste,ā and āPlease Please Please.ā The album soundtracked a globe-spanning tour that will pick up again in October, just weeks after Manās Best Friend arrives on Aug. 29, featuring the Billboard Hot 100-topping single āManchild.ā
In her anniversary message, Sabrina Carpenter also thanked fans for their devotion over the past year.
āThank you for still listening every single day x thank you for coming to the shows and singing till your lungs give out, thank you for loving these songs and every damn lyric as much as i do!ā
The "Bed Chem" hitmaker continued:
āThank you to all my friends i got to make every song with, every video with, create the live shows with. One of the most fun years Iāve had in my whole life. Iāll never take it for granted!!! Love you all infinitely.ā
Sabrina Carpenter to perform at the 2025 MTV VMAs
Sabrina Carpenter wonāt have long to bask in nostalgia: sheās set to perform at the 2025 MTV VMAs on Sept. 7, alongside Busta Rhymes, Ricky Martin, Alex Warren, J Balvin ft. DJ Snake and sombr.
Further, the pop star is also one of this year's ceremony's top contenders with eight nominations, such as Best Album (Short nā Sweet) and Video of the Year (āManchildā).
An insider further revealed that Carpenter will pay tribute to Dolly Parton's Nine to Five ā a comedy film that was also headlined by Lily Tomlin and Jane Fonda ā in her upcoming performance.
āSabrina is working with her favourite choreographers on the routine that will reference the classic 1980 film."
