Conan Gray has achieved a milestone in his career as he earns his highest-charting album on the Billboard 200 with ‘Wishbone’ at #3. The album, which came out on August 15, features 12 tracks, including "Vodka Cranberry," which the singer revealed was inspired by his best friend, Olivia Rodrigo.

Gray recently performed at the Reading and Leeds festival and, in an interview with NME backstage, spoke about the album.

“It’s my baby, I’m obsessed with it. I’m so proud of it. It’s an album about breakups and about every little piece that you go through when you’re going through a breakup. It’s denial and wanting someone back, and anger and then missing someone, and then empathy, but also, like, ‘F*ck you’. It’s a dissection of every little piece of what a breakup feels like,” he revealed.

The singer, who first came to fame with his song "Crush Culture," also reflected on how the music in this record was inspired by songs he grew up listening to.

Fans react to Conan Gray's new feat

Internet users had mixed reactions to Conan's success. While the majority celebrated the feat with him, exclaiming how much they loved his music and how far he has come, some weren't quite convinced if "The Cut that Always Bleeds" singer could maintain the momentum. Though Gray has been making mainstream music for years now, he isn't quite where his counterparts like Olivia Rodrigo, Gracie Abrams, Chappell Roan, and more are.
