More about Jennifer Lopez' exclusive event, as she performs six new songs
According to People Magazine, Jennifer Lopez, who had previously sent out exclusive invites for her fans, not just performed in L.A. on Wednesday, but also had a special surprise in store for them at the end of her performance. According to US Weekly, the fans were contacted earlier this week, but most of the details of the event were kept a surprise. A person associated with the event said in a statement to the outlet:
"Outreach to fans started on Tuesday, but it was all kept a surprise as to what was happening until they were in the room with Jennifer."
According to Page Six, a source close to Jennifer Lopez had teased last year that she was looking forward to working on a new album following her divorce from actor Ben Affleck. They said:
"They have reached out to songwriters. She wants a big dance hit. Her priority [career-wise] is music. There is no point of her going into it unless it’s big, and critics say it’s the old Lopez. She needs a big banger. She wants to get hits, and put out a new album."
They further added:
"She has had an enormous amount of hits and can’t accept the last album is the end of her music career. She wants to wash away the stink of 'This is Me Now.'"
According to US Weekly, one fan, named Edgardo Luis Rivera, told the outlet that out of the six songs, five had upbeat tunes, with the last one being a pop ballad. He also listed out the names of the tracks, which are titled as Save Me Tonight, Birthday, Regular, Free, Up All Night, and Wreckage of You. Talking about the inspiration behind one particular song, Wreckage of You the fan said:
"She said she was lying in bed after a long day of tour rehearsals when the idea of the song came to her. She mentioned how last year was a very difficult time for her both personally and professionally. She had to cancel her tour and really focus on herself. Fast-forward to one year later, and she feels better and stronger than ever, so she wanted to write a song about coming out of a bad situation much stronger."

According to reports, the Jenny From the Block singer, who is set to resume her residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace later this year, gave her fans tickets to the exclusive New Year's Eve show of her residency concert in Las Vegas.
