It would seem that Miley Cyrus is having her biggest full-circle moment yet as she is on the verge of receiving a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Just weeks ago, the Wrecking Ball hitmaker released a music video where she danced on the Hollywood Walk of Fame as part of her visual album Something Beautiful.
As Miley Cyrus shared the news of her latest accomplishment on X on July 2, 2025, she described the moment as one that felt like a dream:
“When I first came to LA from Nashville as a little girl, my family would stay at a hotel on Hollywood Blvd, and I would go on late-night walks with my dad [Billy Ray Cyrus] when no one would recognize him. We’d have the gift shops to ourselves & buy knock-off Oscars and Marilyn Monroe merchandise. To now be cemented on this legendary boulevard, surrounded by the icons who inspired me, feels like a dream.”
Miley Cyrus thanked fans and supporters who have been with her from the beginning of her journey:
“This moment will live forever, thank you to everyone in my life who made it possible,” Miley added. “I am grateful to share this star with you.”
Shooting a music video on the Hollywood Walk of Fame gave Miley Cyrus a “disgusting” infection, the singer reveals
In a May 23, 2025, appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, the Grammy-award winning singer revealed that she caught an infection in her knee after rolling around and dancing on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Recounting the experience to Kimmel, Cyrus revealed that renting out the entire strip was above her budget, and she chose to wing it by waiting till the middle of the night to film.
The singer was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit a month later because there was no time or opportunity for Cyrus’ team to disinfect the Hollywood Walk of Fame stars before the shoot. Miley Cyrus stated that her leg “began to disintegrate around her knee.”
When her doctor asked if she had any idea why such a thing was happening to her, she immediately concluded that it resulted from her being on her knees in the dirty Walk of Fame stars.
The singer recalled how the surgeon was “disgusted” at her knee:
“To have a surgeon look at you and say, ‘Yuck,'” Cyrus continued as audience members laughed. “Like, they open up cadavers, they see inside the guts of humans, and they’re looking at me telling me I’m disgusting.”
Cyrus is among the 35 honorees set to receive stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2026. Other celebrities amongst the class of 2026 include Timothée Chalamet, Demi Moore and Emily Blunt.
