Marvel Rivals is officially expanding its lineup of in-game cosmetics with two: Captain America’s Avengers: Infinity War look and Luna Snow’s Mirae 2099 outfit.

Set to release on February 6, 2025, at 6 PM PST (or February 7 at 2 AM UTC), these skins will add new customization options for players. The skins are expected to be available in the in-game store, either as standalone purchases or as part of a bundle. However, the exact pricing of the items has not yet been officially confirmed.

The announcement of these skins has been met with notable attention across social media and gaming forums. These new additions are believed to be part of Marvel Rivals’ strategy of bringing comic book and cinematic inspirations together with original designs. Captain America’s latest skin features his battle-worn appearance from Infinity War.

On the other hand, Luna Snow’s Mirae 2099 outfit has been given a cyberpunk aesthetic. The announcement has sparked discussions across the gaming community worldwide.

Captain America: Infinity War Skin

This new version of Steve Rogers is based on his appearance in Avengers: Infinity War (2018), where he fights alongside the Avengers against Thanos’ army. Unlike his classic red, white, and blue costume, this skin features a darker outfit.

Key features of the Infinity War skin include:

  • Unlike traditional Captain America designs, this version showcases Steve Rogers’ face, complete with his signature beard from Infinity War.
  • Instead of his usual circular shield, this skin features the twin Wakandan shields gifted to him in the movie.
  • The suit itself is a seemingly more tactical version of his usual attire, with armor plating and multiple utility belts.
  • Additional customization items: The skin is expected to include a special MVP animation, a nameplate, and a themed spray, among others.

This skin is likely to appeal to fans who enjoyed Cap’s war-hardened look in Infinity War. However, it remains to be seen whether his Wakandan shields will have any new gameplay mechanics or simply be an aesthetic change.

Luna Snow's Mirae 2099 Skin

Luna Snow’s Mirae 2099 skin has been given a cyberpunk-inspired look to the character. It brings her superhero and K-Pop star identities together into a design.

Originally introduced as a Marvel Future Fight character, Luna Snow (Seol Hee) is a South Korean hero who uses ice-based powers and maintains a music career.

The Mirae 2099 skin takes her into a neon-lit version of Seoul in the year 2099, with:

  • An outfit that includes a high-collared jacket, a crop top, shorts, and leggings, all highlighted by glowing neon accents.
  • Luna’s hair is styled into long, purple-tinted extensions, knotted at the top to complement her aesthetic.
  • The headset with a microphone that reflects her dual identity as a superhero and a performer.
  • The skin features updated particle effects.

Gameplay footage of the skin shared by Marvel Rivals fan pages has received significant attention, with many players praising the design’s new aesthetic.

Availability and how to get the skins

Both skins will be available in the Marvel Rivals in-game store starting on February 6, 2025, at 6 PM PST. Players will have the option to purchase them using in-game currency.

Previous pricing trends and fan speculations suggest the skins could cost between 1,400 and 2,400 units. It will seemingly depend on whether they are purchased individually or as part of a bundle. There is also speculation that these skins could be a limited-time release.
