Kit-Kat is ready for the festive season with a new line of chocolates. For Christmas, the chocolate brand has launched Santa-shaped candies that will be available starting November 18. This is a significant paradigm shift by launching a first-ever, seasonal-shaped chocolate. The shape deviates from the typical bars customers are familiar with.
The release of Santa-shaped candies comes after the release of Holiday Chocolate Milk bars in October. According to a press release, the brand announced that fans who visit select Simon properties will receive a chocolaty surprise.
Kit-Kat launches Santa-shaped chocolates in time for Christmas
The newest addition to the Kit-Kat family captures Santa's essence and likeness. The chocolate is shaped like a smiling Christmas icon and has Kit-Kat written on both the soles of the shoes. In a press release, Scott Sorenson, Associate Manager of the brand addressed the latest launch and described the chocolate as a "new way to bring fun to our customers".
He added,
"With an even crispier wafer-to-chocolate ratio, this seasonal twist on our traditional KIT KAT bar is sure to become a newfound annual ritual, giving fans a taste of more of what's to come from the brand."
The Santa-shaped candies are available for $5.99 at Hershey's Store and other retailers like Walmart. Customers can also find assortment packets that include milk chocolate and vanilla-flavored Santa candies.
To celebrate the launch, the chocolate brand has partnered with the Simon Property Group for a fun surprise. According to the press release, Kit-Kat is celebrating the rollout of the Santa-shaped chocolates for "holiday-goers who wait in long lines to meet Santa."
They added that people on the "nice list" can enjoy a free Santa Kit-Kat on December 7 and December 8 at the following properties:
- Roosevelt Field Mall, Garden City
- Woodfield Mall, Schaumburg
- Brea Mall, California
Customers can expect to see Santa and receive seasonal chocolates at the Santa Photo Experience at the selected Simon properties.
KitKat's new launch is just in time for the festive season. The chocolate brand is a part of the Hershey's conglomerate and has a worldwide presence. While the brand has experimented with different flavors, this is the first time it has launched a different shape for its customers.
