'Superman' teaser to be attached to 'A Minecraft Movie', fans joke it’s just a seat-filler

It has been reported that a 5-minute-long teaser of Superman will be attached to A Minecraft Movie. The preview premiered during Warner Bros'. presentation at CinemaCon on April 1, 2025. It is scheduled to play in theaters from April 4, 2025, alongside the release of A Minecraft Movie.

The announcement was made by Superman stars David Corenswet, Rachel Brosnahan, and Nicholas Hoult through a video message shared on X on April 1, 2025. They informed fans about the extended preview being shown ahead of A Minecraft Movie screenings.

The preview opens with an injured Superman being rescued by his super-dog, Krypto. It also provides glimpses of Superman's robots and the Fortress of Solitude.

Director James Gunn even revealed that the character of Krypto was inspired by his rescue dog.

The news has sparked plenty of reactions online, having many users in stitches. Fans are joking that the teaser has been added to A Minecraft Movie because it is so awful that they have to include something that would get people to attend the film screening.

While most believe that this is the sole reason why some people will show up, others believe the two films are oddly mismatched.

Fans are conjuring all sorts of speculation. Some are convinced that the upcoming film, A Minecraft Movie, will flop, and therefore, Warner Bros. had to come up with such a large promotion tactic to encourage people to go to the theatres to watch the film.

Others seem to be baffled about the pairing, wondering out loud who on earth thought that Superman and Minecraft made sense together.
