The announcement comes on the heels of the show's highly successful Season 1, which ended on a cliffhanger, leaving fans screaming into the void and demanding answers. Fortunately, the wait has almost come to an end, as Season 2 promises to return with more supernatural shenanigans and more questionable life choices, diving headfirst into some serious absurdity and chaos.

Naturally, the internet exploded with over-the-top reactions and memes that could only be described as peak fandom. Turbo Granny is making a return to our screens, and fans couldn't help sharing their delight about it on social media:

"Aliens vs. ghosts round 2, let’s freaking go!!", exclaimed one enthusiastic fan (via X / @Miniqtz)
"Ready to witness Cursed house greatness", remarked another (via X / @daily_dandadan)

Although there had been some initial skepticism at first, fans were overwhelmed by the news of the universe giving them something to look forward to. So, once the reality set in, the hype train left the station faster than Turbo Granny herself. The news about Dandadan Season 2 dropping also reignited heated shipping wars as fans debated about Momo's romantic fate.

Adding to the excitement, select theaters worldwide will also screen the first episodes of Season 2 ahead of the official release. Fans in Asia get to experience it first on May 30, followed by North America on June 6, and Europe on June 7. With countdown clocks ticking for Dandadan Season 2 on clocks, phones, and smartwatches, fans can't seem to keep it calm, with one of them (@ValeElPatetico_) hilariously letting out a cry for reassurance:

"PLS TELL ME MEXICO IS INCLUDED ON NORTH AMERICA PLSPLSPLS"

It seems like the fans have clearly had enough of delays. One of them had mic-drop moment so epic that the word became a rallying cry, a one-syllable summary of the fandom’s immense frustration followed by immense exhilaration. One user (@AnimeStrikerz) chimed in:

"DanDaDamn"

Meanwhile, amidst all the euphoria, some eagle-eyed fans were also quick to notice something that sent the netizens into raptures:

"Is she wearing jijis jacket?? Uh oh..", joked the fan (@theFLDanmufc)

Is this a foreshadowing? We certainly hope so.

Dandadan has also released the design of the Evil Eye character for Jiro in the upcoming season, which looks really exciting. One fan came up with a catchy name for him:

"Lil Shigaraki lmaooop" joked the fan (via X / @ochakofanboy)

Frankly speaking, the name fits. He does seem abit like Tomura Shigaraki's younger brother, just with way more power!

With the news of Dandadan Season 2 releasing in July, fans have turned the 6th of the month into a cultural touchstone in the timeline. The anime has amassed massive following within a short period of time, with watching it being a cathartic experience. In fact, following Ken and Momo as they navigate their bizarre lives never fails to being a smile to our faces, even in the face of increasingly absurd plots, and hopefully.
