Friends actor Matthew Perry died due to “acute effects of ketamine” at the age of 54 on October 28, 2024. He had been undergoing treatment for depression and anxiety when he got addicted to ketamine. It is a drug of abuse and is also used to treat depression and pain management in patients.

Perry rose to fame with his iconic role as Chandler Bing in the US hit sitcom Friends which was broadcast on NBC from September 22, 1994, till May 6, 2004.
