Welcome to the General Hospital Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:
What happened on General Hospital

We were so happy on Friday when Alexis agreed to do the right thing and have her remorseless, unhinged daughter committed after she tried to kill Ava and nearly killed Ric and Elizabeth instead. However, by Monday, we knew Alexis was about to change her mind but hoped Diane could somehow talk her out of it and that her delay was for dramatic effect. No such luck. Alexis caved and decided to make the absolute dumbest move by paying off Ava without even telling Diane that was part of her problem. Now, Alexis is in too deep and will have to keep forking over money to Ava indefinitely, while Kristina just flits around town as if she didn't just do something crazy and horrifying. Even seeing her waltz into Ric's room to support Molly was galling. Little does she know that Ric is fully aware that she almost killed him. With the number of people who know what Kristina did, this is going to backfire on Alexis spectacularly. We should enjoy this because at least it adds conflict. If Kristina were to be committed, the story would either be put on hold or end. However, we have been watching Kristina say and do ridiculous things for nearly a year, grating on our nerves with each unhinged act. It would have been healthy for the character and enjoyable for us to see Kristina where she belonged — in intense inpatient therapy. We guess Ferncliff is going to have to wait.
