General Hospital star Steve Burton ties the knot with Michelle Lundstrom

General Hospital's Steve Burton is a married man. The actor wed chef and social media content creator Michelle Lundstrom on Saturday, May 17, 2025, in an intimate church ceremony, followed by a beachfront reception, according to PEOPLE.

Burton and Lundstrom went public with their romance in May of 2024 and made their first big appearance together at the Daytime Emmy Awards the next month. The pair met on social media and found an instant connection through their love of 1980s music and culture. They announced their engagement in January of this year.

The May 17 church ceremony was attended by family only, but the guest list opened up at the Laguna Beach reception, where GH co-stars like Jonathan Jackson and his wife, Lisa Vultaggio, were in attendance.

"This day isn’t just about a ceremony," Burton told PEOPLE. "It’s the beginning of forever with the love of my life."

Lundstrom, who appeared on season 2 of the Netflix competition series Barbecue Showdown, wore a stunning white dress created by Lee Petra Grebanau. Lundstrom's two daughters from a previous relationship, Lilah and Hannah, helped her pick it out.

"When I tried on my dress, I knew it was the one," she said. "I came out to show my girls and they both said, 'That’s the one, Mom!' We all knew."

Burton and Lundstrom turned their nuptials into a family affair, with the wedding party consisting of Lundstrom's daughters, along with Burton's three children from his first marriage, Makena, Jack, and Brooklyn.

"I get to spend the rest of my life with my best friend, growing together each day in faith and love," Burton said.

General Hospital stars offer best wishes

Several of Burton's GH co-stars congratulated the actor on PEOPLE's Instagram post featuring the actor's wedding pics.

Maurice Benard (Sonny Corinthos) offered an emphatic, "YES BROTHER!" while his podcast co-host Bradford Anderson (Damian Spinelli) posted heart and applause emojis.

Finola Hughes (Anna Devane) chimed in with, "Best news! You both are beautiful inside and out. Congratulations!"

Burton's former The Young and the Restless co-star Lauralee Bell simply said, "Congratulations!"

On-screen, Burton's alter-ego, Jason Morgan, has not fared as well in the romance department as the actor who plays him, but that doesn't mean Jason's love life can't turn around soon.
