When Kai (Jens Austin Astrup) and Trina (Tabyana Ali) show up at Alexis' (Nancy Lee Grahn) office and tell her that they know who shot Drew (Cameron Mathison), she thinks she might have this case in the bag. She hasn't given closing arguments and still has time to call more witnesses. However, she doesn't expect them to tell her that her client is indeed guilty.

Learning that Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) actually did shoot Drew changes things for Alexis. Yes, she is obligated to defend her client whether guilty or innocent, but she also put her client on the stand and allowed her to perjure herself. Alexis is also obligated to tell the court if someone commits perjury.

Plus, Alexis has Scout (Cosette Abinante) to think about. If she throws her case, then Drew will withhold access to Scout. If she lets Willow walk free, she is allowing her granddaughter to be raised by a child abuser and an attempted murderer. This is quite a dilemma for poor Alexis.

All about Drew

Drew loves for everything to be about him, so why not have a good and bad end to his day? After Tracy (Jane Elliot) confronts Marty (Michael E. Knight) about being the one to rat her out to Alexis, Marty gives Drew some news. Does he tell Drew the favor he did him by sending that anonymous note to Alexis?

Drew might not want to celebrate too quickly. Ned (Wally Kurth) is about to drop a bomb on his family that will certainly affect Drew. He finally spills that Drew was right there when he had his heart attack. Drew saw him collapse and hobbled away, leaving Ned to die if Emma (Braedyn Bruner) and Gio (Giovanni Mazza) hadn't come along. There is going to be hell to pay when Tracy learns the truth.

Molly's romance woes

After a great New Year's Eve with Cody (Josh Kelly), Molly (Kristen Vaganos) told James (Gary James Fuller) that she wasn't Cody's girlfriend when Cody told James that she was. Clearly, there is confusion between this new pair.

Molly confides in Kristina (Kate Mansi), who encourages her sister to pursue her feelings, but Cody thinks it's too late. In fact, he is sure he read the situation with Molly all wrong, but did he?
