Here is your General Hospital recap for Friday, May 16, 2025, when Curtis figured out what Drew has been up to.
What happened on General Hospital

Nina stopped by Curtis' office to discuss giving Drew bad press. Curtis explained that Portia convinced him not to run any negative articles on Drew for fear of a lawsuit. "Portia knows better than anyone else what Drew has done to you. I don't understand why she wants you to go easy on him," Nina wondered.
Suddenly, Curtis told Nina what he suspected and what Nina already knew. "Portia's being blackmailed," he said. Nina didn't let on that she was aware of this and asked Curtis why he believed his wife was being blackmailed. Curtis explained that all of Portia's strange requests helped him come to this conclusion. "The only thing that makes sense is that Drew has leverage over her," Curtis said.
Curtis was surprised when Nina told him that Willow's divorce court date was June 2. "Drew has Willow believing that if she goes after Michael while he's out of the country receiving treatment in a burn unit, it will somehow end with her getting sole custody of her children," Nina told Curtis in disbelief.
Curtis suggested that Nina talk to someone who had sway over Michael, so she left to do just that. Curtis then called Drew to his office. "You're blackmailing my wife," he said when Drew arrived.
At the Nurses' Ball rehearsal hall, Willow was impressed with Isaiah's dance moves. Isaiash greeted Willow as "Nurse Corinthos," so she told him that she wouldn't be Nurse Corinthos much longer because she had a court date for her divorce and custody case.
Willow reverted to cult mode and told Isaiah that she had full faith in Drew and he wouldn't hinder her getting custody. "Drew was set up. A judge will see that," Willow insisted. Willow admitted she had some regrets about how things ended with Michael. "But I'm finally where I'm supposed to be. With Drew," she said.
Isaiah asked Willow how she pictured her life when the court case was settled. "In an ideal world, Michael would understand that our children belong with their mother," Willow replied. She also insisted that Drew would make an amazing dad for Michael's kids. Isaiah was also surprised to hear that Willow was going for sole custody.
Willow explained what happened in Germany. "When he refused to see me, it sent a really clear message. I have to protect my children and my custody of them," Willow cried.
Ava dropped into Portia's office for a chat. Portia showed her a story she was reading about Drew in the Port Charles Herald. "I must say, when the story broke, I had to wonder, was this your handiwork?" Ava asked. Portia noted that whoever tried to take Drew down had failed.
Ava didn't think people bought Drew's story about being set up. "That poor deluded Willow might believe him, but I don't think anyone else does," Ava said. Portia lamented that Drew was coming at her worse than ever. "His latest demands are impossible and ridiculous," Portia said, citing Drew's orders that she get Curtis to go against Laura as mayor.
"Well, Drew thinks that everybody is as easy to manipulate as Willow," Ava correctly noted. Portia agreed, noting that Curtis and Laura were friends, so he'd never go for that. Ava also informed Portia that Drew's documentary guy was following Trina around the gallery.
Portia began crying at the idea of Drew being involved in Trina's life in any way. "You know, I don't hate anybody, but I truly hate Drew Cain," she said. Ava advised Portia to tell Curtis the truth. Portia still wasn't sure. "You got in over your head. It happens. But you can still fix this. Curtis can help you get out of it," Ava said, but Portia was sure Curtis would never forgive her.
"If Curtis finds out that I lied to him again, my marriage is over," Portia shouted as Isaiah walked by her office and heard his boss' hysterical words.
Tracy met with Drew at the Q boathouse and asked him how he even got on the property. "I drove over with my new boat," Drew said. "Of course, you did. How nautical of you," Tracy said to the former Navy SEAL, who technically is not supposed to remember his days in the service.
Drew wanted to talk about their plan to bring down Sonny. Tracy didn't like that Ezra Boyle was a "piece in getting rid of Sonny puzzle." Tracy was sure they could get the referendum passed without removing Laura from office. "Sorry, Tracy, if you truly want Sonny gone, Mayor Collins has gotta be collateral damage," Drew said.
Tracy asked Drew to tell her when Laura was ever soft on Sonny as mayor. Drew said it was all about appearances. Tracy had the perfect reply: "I'm sorry, are there photographs of Laura doing body shots off a hooker on top of a bar somewhere that I missed?"
Drew once again insisted that he was drugged, but Tracy was more concerned about Laura, whom she said was her friend. Drew didn't care because they had to get rid of Sonny, their "common enemy." Drew also repeated his demands. He wanted the Q name back, as well as access to the Q grounds.
Tracy drew the line. She informed her wayward nephew that the Q estate part was up to Monica. "Get back on your damn barge. This is Monica's property," she shouted, before adding in an endearing and mocking tone, "Alan gave it to her." Tracy stormed off, but Drew decided to stay.
Sonny brought Donna back to Carly's house after her Nurses' Ball rehearsal. Donna told Carly all about Gio playing the violin for her. When Donna ran off to do her homework, Carly made sure that Sonny was taking care of himself. Sonny seemed positive, so Carly decided to bring him down.
"Well, I hate to ruin your good mood, but since you're here, there's something I need to tell you," Carly said. "Should I take my pills?" Sonny deadpanned. Carly informed Sonny that she had Diane ask for a court date for Michael's divorce and they got one sooner than expected.
Carly argued that this was what Michael wanted. "When he could be there and stand up in person. Not now," a clearly annoyed Sonny said. Carly promised she would handle the case herself. "Well, that's a mistake," Sonny responded. He asked if Michael even knew he had a court date. Carly informed him that Michael was oblivious.
"Trust me, I got this," Carly said. She explained that Diane planned to argue that Drew's antics at The Savoy made him a danger to Willow's kids, so Diane was going to get Carly emergency custody. Sonny warned Carly that it sounded easier said than done. Carly was sure she could win.
"Those kids are going to come home with me and they're going to stay with me until their father comes home," Carly declared. Sonny still wasn't happy. "This was Michael's life and his family. He's not going to thank you for making decisions about his life without his permission," Sonny argued. Carly didn't care what Sonny had to say. Her mind was made up. Sonny warned his ex-wife that this could backfire on her.
At the coffee shop, Cody sat with Lulu in disbelief. "Wait a minute, you think that the baby Brook Lynn got pregnant with that summer is Gio?" he asked. Just then, Gio and Brook Lynn walked in. Gio heard his name, but Cody covered for him and Lulu, telling Gio that they were talking about the incident with Rocco.
Gio apologized to Lulu for what happened. "It's a good thing Gio got Rocco back to the boathouse. Otherwise, Cody wouldn't have found him," Brook Lynn made a point of saying before she and Gio walked off to order coffee.
Gio thanked Brook Lynn for standing up for him. He admitted that he had been avoiding people at the Qs, like Olivia and Dante. Brook Lynn promised Gio that things would go back to normal soon. They stopped by Cody and Lulu's table before leaving. Lulu noted Brook Lynn fawning over Gio and bragging about his upcoming Nurses' Ball performance.
When they left, Lulu said to Cody, "I rest my case." Cody wasn't so sure. "No offense, but when it comes to Gio and Brook Lynn, I think you're seeing what you want to see," Cody said. Lulu disagreed. "Everything in my gut is telling me that Gio is Brook Lynn and Dante's son," she said, but acknowledged she couldn't be sure that Brook Lynn knew this.
Cody still wasn't sure that Gio was Brook Lynn's son, but was willing to help Lulu prove it. "Gio's so-called mother. Cousin Camilla. She's the key," Lulu said. "We need to find out where she was and what she was doing the day that Gio gave birth."
When Brook Lynn and Gio got back to the Q house, Gio and Rocco came face to face in the kitchen. "Gio, I want to apologize. I put you in a really bad position that night, and I'm sorry," Rocco said. Gio tried to take some blame, but Rocco wouldn't allow it. Rocco also didn't like that Dante was still angry.
"He needs to understand that you helped get me back here. I'm really grateful to you for that. You helped me, and I'm sick of you being blamed. None of this was your fault, and I'm so sorry," he said in earnest.
After Rocco left the kitchen, Brook Lynn told Gio how proud she was of him for how he spoke to Rocco. Gio was still upset that Dante was mad at him. Brook Lynn brushed it aside, saying Dante was just worried about Rocco.
"Everyone is trying to tell me that Dante was just worried about his kid, but that doesn't mean he doesn't feel the way he feels about me, because he made it perfectly clear that he has no use for me, and I'm good with that. I don't need anyone else to tell me that Dante really likes me because he's made it perfectly clear that he doesn't," a hurt Gio said before storming off.
Brook Lynn sat pensively when Tracy appeared and assured her granddaughter that Gio and Dante would make amends. Brook Lynn also opened up to Tracy and told her that it was her son's birthday.
