Here is the General Hospital weekly recap for episodes that aired from January 5th through January 9th, 2026: Trina and Kai arrived at Alexis’ door with the truth about Drew’s shooting, while Willow clung to denial, and Michael and Jacinda grew closer.
What happened on General Hospital?

This week on General Hospital, Laura pushed Kevin to accept the Dublin job and take Ace with him after Sidwell’s warning left her convinced the baby wasn’t safe in Port Charles. Kevin ultimately agreed. Britt returned to duty with her medical license reinstated and immediately stepped into Portia’s care. She soon found herself in the middle of the brewing paternity fight when Curtis pressed to schedule a test as soon as possible. Portia begged for more time because she wasn’t ready to face the results. Isaiah inserted himself by refusing to allow Curtis to add pressure. Portia later admitted to Liz that she once wanted the baby to be Isaiah’s but now hoped it was Curtis’ for Trina’s sake. Carly met with Jack and raised the possibility that Anna might be helping Valentin. Emma arrived panicked because she had not had direct contact with Anna since Halloween and had only received voicemails or photos from a blocked number. Jack said he would find her. Kristina gave Jacinda some cash and urged her to leave town immediately because she knew Alexis was going to put the blame on Michael. Danny helped Charlotte visit Valentin, who told her not to do it again and warned her to stay away from Sidwell. Meanwhile, in court, Alexis turned the spotlight onto Michael as an alternate suspect. On the stand, Dante confirmed Michael’s alibi had never been fully scrutinized, forcing him to admit he had tried to help Michael in the past during his manslaughter case. Ezra got on the stand and admitted he had hired Jacinda as an escort, which undercut Michael’s alibi timeline. Jacinda showed up and warned Michael that they needed to grab his kids and run, but not before a bailiff summoned her to testify. In her testimony, Jacinda insisted Michael did not pay for her services on the night of the shooting and claimed they simply hit it off. Britt encountered Jack at Bobbie’s, thanked him for getting her license back, and was immediately reminded of the price of feeding him data from Sidwell’s lab. Lulu confronted Charlotte over ditching her guard and lying about where she had been. Carly told Valentin not to leave because the situation had changed. In court, Alexis pushed Jacinda into admitting that she wasn’t with Michael the entire night. Soon after, Tracy walked into Alexis’ trap, thinking there was footage of her and Michael outside Drew’s house the night of the shooting. Tracy admitted to seeing Michael that night. Michael then took the stand, where he denied being at Drew’s house and denied taking Edward’s gun, admitted he hated Drew, and admitted he believed Drew was a danger to his children. ADA Turner tried to repair the damage by having Michael explain that he went to Drew’s to tell him to back off from Willow, but never went inside because Wiley called with a special ringtone that stopped him from escalating the confrontation. Kai and Trina processed what they remembered hearing the night of the shooting, including a “Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star” ringtone. Dante wrestled with the fact that he overlooked Michael as a shooting suspect. Tracy talked to Lulu about being cornered on the stand, and Lulu pointed out it was likely a bluff. Laura told Martin about where Kevin and Ace went. Ezra met with Jacinda and tried to pursue something real, but she vanished while he was at the bar. Drew demanded that Alexis put him on the stand. Alexis refused at first because she believed he would undo their progress. Willow agreed, and Alexis insisted Turner would destroy Willow and pointed to Willow’s history of courtroom breakdowns, deciding she would rest her case without calling either of them until Drew threatened her with the visitation issue with Scout. Kristina admitted to Michael that she knew Alexis’ plan because she saw a note that someone gave Alexis, tried to protect him without undermining Alexis by paying Jacinda to leave town, and apologized for the fallout. Michael admitted Jacinda had warned him before court that something terrible was coming, and he feared his own lies might cost him his children. Trina and Kai agreed to verify whether the ringtone they heard was actually Michael’s ringtone for Wiley, and they pulled Gio into their plan. Elsewhere, Martin flashed back to overhearing Michael and Tracy discussing the night of the shooting in the Quartermaine kitchen, revealing he was Alexis’s anonymous source. Later, Alexis begrudgingly put Drew on the stand, and Drew recounted his antagonistic history with Michael, including the Metro Court confrontation and his belief that Michael sent Jason to beat him up. ADA Turner cross-examined by tying Drew’s motives to the Aurora takeover, the affair with Willow, and the Judge Herrin bribery receipt found in his safe. This prompted Drew to unravel on the stand as he ranted about Michael and the Quartermaines, declared himself just as much a Quartermaine as any of them, and publicly accused Michael of shooting him while promising Michael would rot in prison. His performance horrified Willow. Kristina, Dante, and Michael later regrouped as Trina and Kai watched, and when Michael’s phone rang with Wiley’s voice saying, “Daddy, it’s Wiley, pick up,” Kai and Trina realized that the ringtone did not match what they remembered. Gio called Michael under the pretense of checking whether Wiley was allowed to play a specific video game, letting Trina and Kai hear the ringtone and conclude Michael was likely not the shooter. Alexis told Drew he had just blown everything and insisted Willow had to take the stand or they would lose. Willow testified that she did not take Edward’s gun or place it in the drawer at Liz’s, and described Michael finding her alone at Liz’s. She recalled being arrested at therapy in front of her kids, and then accused Michael of planting the weapon, shooting Drew, and framing her. She credited Drew as being her hero. She also claimed Michael’s demands became increasingly unpredictable as she fought to regain access to her children. Under Justine’s cross, Willow denied blaming Drew for losing custody, denied ever touching the gun when shown a photo, and then had flashbacks contradicting her denial, showing Willow opening the gun case and taking the weapon. Later, she stopped her car, retrieved the gun from her glove compartment, and ultimately confirmed through additional flashbacks that she was the one who shot Drew, all while she continued to claim she didn’t remember where she drove and insisted she spoke to no one. Alexis rested her case. Shortly afterwards, Wiley picked up his phone and called Willow. Her phone rang in the courthouse, as a shocked Trina and Kai heard Willow’s ringtone for Wiley as “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.” Laura told Sonny that Sidwell was hanging out with Ava, and he presumed it was because she was the mother of Avery, and how he indirectly threatened Ace through Charlotte. Laura blamed herself for Sonny’s family being targets now. Tracy confronted Alexis for tricking her in court. Carly explained to Jason that if Willow was acquitted, ADA Turner would go after Michael. Jacinda tried giving Michael the money back that Kristina gave her because her testimony didn’t help him at all. Alexis told Tracy that she should consider herself lucky for not perjuring herself. Trina and Kai put all the pieces together, realizing Willow was the shooter. Brad figured out that Britt was with Jason on New Year’s. Jason told Carly that he was certain Michael didn’t shoot Drew because he would’ve confided in him. Jacinda explained to Michael why she didn’t initially tell him about being with Ezra on the night of Drew’s shooting, and Michael later said he understood. He then talked her out of leaving town, and they kissed. Willow buttered up Drew by singing his praises to him. Drew told Willow that Michael would soon be begging for mercy. Laura admitted to Sonny that her first instinct when she found Dalton was to call Luke, who would have known what to do. Carly explained to Jason that Drew would do whatever he could to make Michael look guilty, even if Michael was innocent. Tracy explained to Alexis that Willow had perfected and weaponized the meek and helpless act. Sonny told Laura that they would wait until Sidwell made a mistake, and that he had made a mistake by messing with the two of them. Carly shoved Drew, splashing his drink everywhere, and told him, “Go to hell!” Willow had a strange smirk on her face upon seeing that. Trina and Kai showed up at Alexis’s and told her they knew who shot Drew.
