At the Five Poppies Resort, Britt was surprised to see Jason was still there. She was even more surprised to see he was meeting with Greta (the courier). From the other side of the flower bushes, Britt grew increasingly irritated as she listened to Jason and Greta flirt.

Pascal interrupted her eavesdropping to ask what she was doing. She said she’d been working in the lab all day and complained about finding her courier hitting on the guests. Pascal said he asked Greta to hit on “Mr. Moore” (Jason) and get to know him. Suddenly concerned, Britt questioned why. He let her know that the WSB had infiltrated the Five Poppies and he needed to be sure Mr. Moore wasn’t a part of it.

In their room, Vaughn and Josslyn were frustrated that they hadn’t found Britt. Vaughn said they were out of time, but Joss didn’t want to leave until they found Britt or a lead. He felt they were already way out on a limb, needed to call the mission, and come clean about what happened. Joss reluctantly agreed, but said she was going to do one last sweep of the grounds while he called Brennan.

Jason and Greta were getting up to go on a motorcycle ride when Joss walked around the flower bush and was shocked by the sight of Jason. She pulled back before Jason could see her, though. Joss rushed back to the room to find Vaughn, who wasn’t there. Pascal came up behind her with a gun. He said, if she was looking for her husband, aka Agent Vaughn, he would be happy to facilitate a reunion.

When Jason returned to his room, Britt knocked at the door. She was in a nice black dress and looked ready to be much more congenial than before. It’s likely she was trying to take steps to protect Jason.

In front of Bobbie’s, Molly was embarrassed and wanted to take back what she said about liking Cody. Michael said he wanted to hear about it, and he could give her the benefit of his “expertise in matters of the awkward heart.” As Molly was frazzled talking about Cody, Michael could tell she really liked him. He said the real question was what she wanted to do about it.

Molly felt like she’d be a fool to go after a guy like Cody, whom Kristina said was a con man and a hustler. Michael acknowledged Cody’s colorful past but said Cody had worked for the Quartermaines for over a year, been super reliable, the kids loved him, and Tracy considered him a real friend. Molly softened, thinking about how kind and helpful Cody was the night of the fire, and Michael affirmed Cody was solely focused on making sure she was okay.

Molly nervously said she was being silly and just needed to get over her feelings for Cody, but Michael questioned if it would be that easy. He went on to suggest she not always live in a hypothetical world, imagining everything that could go wrong with Cody, but to actually spend some time with him in real life instead, to see how she felt. Molly was spinning out thinking about putting herself out there, but Michael said to just go for a cup of coffee and take it from there. Before he left, he encouraged her not to be afraid to take a chance.

Inside of Bobbie’s, Brennan met Carly in the kitchen. She was in desperate need of his plumbing skills. He brought out the ginormous wrench she had previously gifted him. While he was working on the garbage disposal, he got a message from Colette.

After he was finished, Carly told him about Maxie being in the hospital. She told Brennan that she and Maxie had a complex, emotional connection and briefly explained what happened with BJ and the heart transplant. Going on, she thanked him for how much he’d done to help her family, especially with getting Michael into the burn clinic. She reiterated how important her kids were to her and how she couldn’t wait to see Josslyn, whom she was trying not to worry about.

Brennan’s own worry and guilt continued to grow as Carly went on to talk about how unthinkable it would be to lose another child. He tried to reassure her that she would never have to know and hugged her tightly.

At the Quartermaine stables, Ava questioned Cody about how she was wrong to think he was a good guy. They talked and flirted a bit. Cody admitted to purposely trying to cause problems between her and Ric, and Ava said the only reason she stayed with Ric was to drive Alexis and her “darling daughters” completely insane.

Ava ranted about the “Davis women” being sanctimonious, smug, self-righteous, and pompous. After she was critical of Alexis and Kristina, Cody defended Molly as being an honest, nice, and good person. But, Ava said high-and-mighty Molly was just as bad if not worse than Alexis and Kristina.

Ava went on to say Molly was as disingenuous as Ric and as judgmental as Alexis, and vowed to teach every single one of them not to mess with her. She said she would stay with Ric as long as she could just to watch them squirm, especially Molly. Seemingly thinking it would be better for Molly if he seduced Ava after all, he encouraged Ava not to waste her time with Ric and move on to something better. He leaned in and they began to kiss. Later, Molly came to the stables to see Cody and, of course, accidentally walked in on him and Ava kissing.

At the hospital, a distraught Nina walked away after seeing Willow and Drew hug in the breakroom. Ric ran into Elizabeth by the elevators. He was asking her out to dinner as she spotted Nina approaching the nurse’s desk, where Willow was now.

Willow turned and saw Nina, who said she was just there to sit with Maxie’s family. Nina said she didn’t want to bother Willow, but reminded her that she’d be there if ever needed for anything. Willow reiterated that she wanted Nina to stay away from her.

Ric talked to Willow after Nina walked off. They felt lucky because Willow hadn’t heard from HR about slapping Lucas. When Willow said Dr. Park agreed to be a character reference for her, Ric reminded her that it would be best to have a reference from a family member who’d seen her with the children and could vouch for what a good mother she was.

Nina texted Ric to meet her in the stairwell. Once there, he admonished Nina for approaching Willow and risking her having another public meltdown. Nina wanted Ric to tell Willow that, if she wanted her kids back, she could not speak to Drew again.

Kristina arrived with flowers for Maxie and gave them to Elizabeth because she didn’t want to intrude. Willow approached Kristina to ask her to be a character reference for her in court. Kristina politely declined until Willow tried to use the fact that she was almost a mother to persuade her.

Kristina said she was a mother and always would be, and Willow wouldn’t want her to testify because, if she did, she would tell the judge she didn’t think Willow should ever see her children again. Confused, Willow said Kristina was the only one who treated her with any decency when Michael was hurt. Kristina questioned what choice she had since Willow was withholding Michael’s treatment. She said she pretended for Michael’s sake because she didn’t trust Willow.

She reminded Willow that she had to arrange calls with Michael while he was in Germany so the children could speak with their father, because Willow was too busy with Drew. Willow tried to defend herself by saying she had been kept out of the loop and had since admitted that being with Drew was a mistake. “A mistake you were more than willing to continue making until you found out that he was sleeping with your mother”, said Kristina. She went on to remind her of how she was a complete mess when she showed up to Carly’s house, which was very upsetting to Wylie.

Willow claimed Michael had been turning their kids against her, which is why he’d been keeping them from her. Kristina clapped back, “No! Michael is not keeping your kids from you. The judge is and for good reason. You are a terrible mother, Willow.” Upset, Willow hurried off. Elizabeth approached Kristina and asked her to go with her for a minute.

In one of the conference rooms, Elizabeth, with an interesting air of superiority and condescension, used Kristina’s past mistakes (especially for cutting Ric’s brake lines) to try to persuade her to have grace for Willow. Kristina questioned whether Elizabeth was attempting to blackmail her, but Elizabeth said she was just pointing out the grace she afforded Kristina by not turning her in, and perhaps, Kristina could show that same grace to Willow.

When Kristina said Willow wanted her to testify against her own brother, Elizabeth claimed she didn’t see it as choosing sides but as doing what was right for the kids. Elizabeth reiterated that Willow made a mistake, but deserved grace just like the grace she afforded Kristina. After leaving the room, Elizabeth walked around the corner to hear Willow leave a message for Drew that she needed his help to get her kids back.

Kristina got home from the hospital. Still upset, she flashed back to some of the confrontations she had with Ava that led up to her rash decision to cut what she thought were Ava’s break lines. Ric knocked at the door. The look he gave Kristina indicated a confrontation was about to happen.

At Maxie’s house, a distressed Lulu was vacuuming when her mom arrived. Lulu was trying to keep life as normal as possible for Georgie, James, and Bailey Lou, but she was scared. Laura comforted Lulu as she expressed worry that Maxie would slip into a coma and she wouldn’t get the chance to be there for her the way Maxie had been for her. Laura reassured Lulu that she was helping Maxie the best way she could right now. She tried to comfort her, but Lulu couldn't shake the unbearable possibility of Maxie ending up in a coma like she had.

Later, Lulu asked her mom how she kept visiting her for four years and never gave up hope when she was in a coma. Laura said she wanted to see her, spend time with her, and always let her know how much her family loved her. She encouraged Lulu to believe Maxie was going to wake up, just like they always believed she would come out of her coma. Lulu hoped for even just half of Laura’s strength.

Laura reminded Lulu of how much she’d been through and how strong she was. She said she never gave up hope on Lulu because she loved her and, if Maxie needed Lulu to be her beacon, she would be able to do it because of how much she loved Maxie.
