In the Q solarium, Chase told Brook Lynn that he wasn't in the mood for a party. He was preoccupied after his talk with Lois. "After discussing Dante's possible reactions to finding out he has a son, I just realized how bad I want to be a dad," Chase admitted.

Brook Lynn told Chase she had been thinking about how they could have a child. She wanted to rule out IVF with a sperm donor because of what had just happened with Molly and Kristina. Chase and Brook Lynn agreed that adoption would be their best bet.

As Molly sat on the side of the road with a flat tire, Cody came along on a horse and asked if he could help. Since roadside assistance couldn't be there for hours, Cody agreed to fix Molly's flat. Unfortunately, Cody found a puncture in the spare tire.

Cody wanted to move on to plan B and put Molly atop his horse rather than leaving her on the side of the road to wait for a tow truck. Molly was hesitant, but Cody finally convinced her to give the horse a try with her briefcase in tow. They were on their way to Sonny's house for a party.

At Sonny's place, Olivia marveled at how big the house was and how nice he had decorated for Dante's birthday party. Olivia admitted she didn't throw the party at the Q mansion cause she didn't want to deal with Tracy's constant complaints. When Lulu and Donna appeared in the living room, Lulu wondered where the birthday boy was.

Dante and Rocco had a talk on the terrace. Dante thought that Rocco seemed upset when they were on their way over, but Rocco claimed everything was fine. Dante didn't buy it. Rocco finally admitted he was concerned about his grandparents. Social media was blowing up with negative comments and the hashtag #MobsterMayor after Laura's presser.

Rocco felt bad because people were talking about the link between Laura and Sonny. "I'm the link. I'm the reason they spend so much time together," Rocco said. He worried that things would get worse when Sonny and Laura were seen at Rocco's debate meet. "I don't know what else to do unless Grandpa doesn't go to my debate," Rocco said, not realizing Sonny overheard him.

When Sonny made his presence known, Rocco apologized for what he said, but Sonny understood. "Rocco's right. I think it's best for me to stay home," Sonny said.

Back in the living room, Olivia and Sonny greeted Kristina, Danny, Gio, and Lois. Upon seeing Lois, Lulu remembered finding Martin's notes from his meeting with Lois about Brook Lynn's baby. Kristina also took Danny aside to tell him that she was close to Aunt Molly again.

Finally, everyone gathered in the living room for cake. Dante noted that his two BFFs weren't there, but he was happy to have his family around him. Even Michael had called to wish him a happy birthday. "That's what this family does. We show up," Dante said.

After the cake, everyone made small talk. Sonny was pleased that Gio would have an apprenticeship with the Port Charles Symphony for the summer. Elsewhere, Lois gushed to Lulu about how much Sonny always helped her family. "The second that Gio picked up that violin, Sonny supported him," Lois said.

Later, Lois was alarmed when she saw Lulu and Gio talking. Gio mentioned that is mom was away a lot performing. Olivia said she was even performing right up until Gio was born. "My mom was in California playing in a concert when she went into labor. That's how I was born in Los Angeles," Gio said. Lulu took mental note of that, knowing that Brook Lynn gave birth in L.A.

At the Miller & Davis office, Lucas asked Marco if he knew who the man was who had just left. "That was Jason Morgan, and obviously, he was not too happy with you," Lucas said with fear in his voice. When Alexis walked in, she said it was a little premature to celebrate Marco's new job. Marco then admitted to Lucas that Jenz Sidwell was his father.

Before Lucas left, Marco wanted Lucas and Alexis to hear him out. "I didn't conceal anything. I didn't keep my father's name a secret, and I didn't lie to either of you. We went through a very extensive job interview, and neither you nor Diane asked about my parents," he said.

After Lucas left, Marco asked Alexis if she was rescinding the job offer. Marco went to bat for himself, saying nothing had really changed since he was hired. "My father doesn't have a criminal record. In fact, he's never been charged with a crime. The same can't be said for your firm's biggest clients," Marco pointed out.

"There's a big difference between doing something illegal and getting caught doing something illegal," Alexis stressed. Marco understood that. "Frankly, the fact that you and Diane have managed to keep Sonny from being brought up on RICO charges is one of the many reasons why I admire this firm," Marco said.

Alexis admitted she had met Sidwell. "My first impression of him was that he was charming and intelligent — and completely ruthless," Alexis stated. Marco said he thought that Alexis, of all people, would understand why he didn't disclose that Sidwell was his father. Just look at who Alexis' father was. Mikkos Cassadine.

Alexis got Marco's point but was concerned that Sidwell was Marco's client. "Diane and I prefer not to hire individuals whose clients want to kill our clients," Alexis stressed. Marco insisted that Sidwell had never involved him in any of his criminal enterprises.

Felicia and Carly caught up in Carly's kitchen. Carly told Felicia that Michael was making marked improvements and was anxious to come home. "I just haven't had the heart to tell him that Willow and the kids were moving in with Drew," she sighed.

Felicia admitted she was there for a favor. "Mac needs your help," she told a surprised Carly. Mac was worried that the esplanade referendum made Laura look bad, "like she is passing the buck to the voters instead of standing up to Sonny herself."

Carly realized that Mac wanted Carly to talk Sonny into accepting whatever the voters decide and not fight it. "If the voters decide to take Sonny's property, he's not going to say okay and not fight it," Carly warned. "If anyone can get through to him, it's you," Felicia insisted.

Carly said she didn't want to interfere in Sonny's business ever again and was happy with their peaceful co-parenting existence. Felicia had a different idea. "I was thinking if Sonny didn't own the piers anymore, could this turn out to be a good thing for your family?" she asked.

Felicia thought not owning the docks was the ticket to Sonny finally becoming a legitimate businessman. Carly wasn't so sure. "People don't normally walk away from Sonny's business, Felicia," she reminded. Lucas arrived to interrupt the conversation. Felicia took it as her cue to leave.

Once alone, Lucas questioned Carly about Jason "gunning for Marco Rios." Lucas explained that he stopped by to see Marco and found Jason with him. He then learned that Marco was Sidwell's son. Lucas was shocked when Carly told him that Sidwell had kidnapped Sasha and held Carly at gunpoint.

Lucas reasoned that it wasn't like Marco had lied to him. He just left out a big truth, and Lucas didn't feel he could live with who Marco's father was. "After Brad, the last thing I want is another man I can't trust," Lucas sighed.

Chase had worried that Brook Lynn wouldn't be on board with adoption after giving up her own child, but Brook Lynn said that made her respect the adoption process even more.

Curtis walked into Jordan's office just as she was packing up her things. Jordan explained that she and Laura had some private disagreements about Sonny. "Then, Boyle put me on the spot in the middle of the press conference. I didn't feel like I should or could dodge his questions, so I gave my honest opinion," Jordan said.

However, Curtis didn't believe her and asked for the truth. Jordan continued to insist that her resignation was legit. "I resented the fact that Sonny was a factor in the decisions the mayor's office made," Jordan said. Curtis still didn't buy it. "The only other time I have seen you acting this out of character was when you were working undercover," Curtis observed.

Jordan begged Curtis to drop the subject, but assured him that he wasn't in any trouble. She didn't want to ever lie to him ever again, so she wanted to just not talk about it. Curtis finally agreed to do as Jordan asked as long as she promised to call him for help if she ever needed it.
