Tracy begrudgingly welcomed Sidwell into the Q solarium. "I find that you and I have so much in common," Sidwell said in his usual charming voice. Tracy made it clear that Sidwell was just a Deception supplier to her, and she was determined to keep the company profitable for Brook Lynn.

Sidwell told Tracy that they had a common thorn in their sides. "I suspect you'd like to be rid of Sonny Corinthos," he said, intriguing Tracy. "I would feel so much more secure doing business with your company if Mr. Corinthos were gone," Sidwell suggested.

Sidwell felt that Tracy was in the position to get rid of Sonny since she was the majority shareholder. Tracy admitted that she never wanted Sonny at Deception. Sidwell was sure that Tracy's business partners needed his zincite more than they needed Sonny's investment in the company. "As far as I'm concerned, you both bring more risk than reward," Tracy said of Sonny and Sidwell.

Tracy knew that Sidwell was threatening to demand to renegotiate his contract if Sonny wasn't gone soon. Sidwell told her that it was good leverage to use to convince the other ladies that they had to get rid of Sonny. Sidwell then left, but not before telling Tracy that he was sure she'd make the right decision.

Laura began her press conference in the municipal building hallways. She talked up the esplanade. "On this subject, Congressman Cain and I strongly disagree," Laura stressed before saying that the location of it would be put up for a vote, and the people of Port Charles would get a say.

Ezra Boyle interrupted Laura and pointed out that the entire idea for the esplanade came from Drew. Laura reminded him that the approved federal funding was based on the original proposed site. Laura told the press that the site Drew now wanted would force the city to seize two piers.

"Don't you think the public has the right to know who owns those piers, or did you just forget to mention that they're owned by our resident mob boss, Sonny Corinthos?" Boyle asked. Laura pointed out that it was no secret who owned those piers because it was a matter of public record.

"Are you really worried about the impact on the people or on Sonny Corinthos?" Boyle asked, shocking the crowd. "It's hardly a secret that you and Sonny Corinthos have a personal relationship. You even dine with him publicly," he added.

Laura explained that she and Sonny shared a grandchild, but she also had a bone to pick with Boyle. "I take offense at any suggestion that I may have shown Sonny Corinthos any partiality. That is the reason that I have chosen to put the decision in the hands of the voters," Laura said.

Boyle then asked for Jordan's opinion on all of this. Jordan tried to avoid answering him, but Jordan finally spoke up. "I have asked the mayor privately if she would reconsider this position because I cannot in good conscience endorse it. Therefore, out of respect for the mayor, I am choosing to resign as deputy mayor, effective immediately," Jordan announced.

Jordan walked off with Anna following close behind to ask Jordan what the heck was going on. "I've had my own concerns about her close relationship with Sonny for a while now," Jordan (falsely) admitted. Anna laughed it off, saying, "Oh, come on, I have known Laura for decades. Her integrity is beyond approach."

Jordan claimed she didn't care what Anna had to say. "Looking the other way just doesn't work for me anymore," she said.

Back at the podium, Laura ended the press conference and walked away. Curtis followed his friend and asked if she was okay. Laura put on a good act for Curtis, as she acted shocked at Jordan's actions. Drew then approached Laura to thank her because he was sure that his side would win. He then told Curtis he thought he was a better citizen.

By then, Laura had had it with Drew and laid into him. "How dare you speak to him that way? When you first undertook this project, you were very clear about the location you chose and why you chose it. This whole thing was your idea, and it was a wonderful idea. And now you have tainted it because you have allowed your antagonistic relationship with your brother and Sonny to become important than the people you were elected to serve," Laura said before storming off.

Curtis and Anna later compared notes. "There's something just not right...There is no way Jordan would let an obvious sleaze like Ezra Boyle force her hand," Curtis said. Anna wondered if Jordan was at her breaking point.

When Boyle and Drew got back to Drew's office, they celebrated a victory because they thought they could get Jordan on their side. "Mayor Collins' career is tanking and the rats are starting to jump ship," Drew said with glee. Drew thought this was the perfect opportunity for Boyle to run against Laura in the next election. "Ezra, you do what I say and you will be in the mayor's office — where you will continue to do everything I say," Drew said.

Later, when Jordan was alone in her almost former office, Sidwell called to tell Jordan how impressed he was that Jordan stood up for her ideals. "Perhaps he should talk. About your future, of course," Sidwell said.

Amy continued to annoy Elizabeth and Lucky. Amy was surprised when Lucky told her to leave because he could take care of Liz. Lucky was as kind as could be about it, telling Amy that he was sure her services would be better used at the hospital.

Amy still didn't get the hint, so Liz got to work with her phone and texted Lucas to come over. As soon as Lucas arrived, he realized that Amy was the problem. With Amy upstairs, Liz took the chance to tell Lucas that she couldn't take another nap. She asked Lucas to tell Amy that she didn't need a nurse.

Lucas did Liz's bidding and told Amy she was desperately needed back at GH, and he would take care of Liz's home care situation. Lucky finally announced he would take Amy's place and nurse Elizabeth back to health. Finally, Amy agreed to leave.

When they were alone, Liz told Lucky that he didn't need to stay, but Lucky said he wanted to. "Everything that just happened was part of my master plan," he smiled.

Diane stopped by Sonny's place with Marco and was pleased when Jason answered the door. Diane introduced Marco Rios as her newest associate, but Sonny already knew who he was. "How come you don't have your father's last name? Jenz Sidwell. That's your father, right?" Sonny asked, shocking Diane.

"I wasn't aware that my parentage was something that I needed to include on my resume," Marco said. Sonny respectfully told Marco that it was nice to meet him, but he needed to speak to his lawyer in private. That was Marco's cue to leave. Diane immediately told Sonny she would fire Marco, but Sonny had a better idea.

Sonny didn't think it was a coincidence that Marco joined Diane's law firm. He was sure that Sidwell put him up to it. He suggested that Jason have "a nice friendly chat with Marco." Jason left to do just that.

Once Sonny was alone with Diane, he told her about Laura's press conference. Before he had a chance to give her any details, Diane got a news alert on her phone about it. Sonny asked Diane to put together a defense team in case the city came after his piers. Diane wasn't optimistic. "This is a clear-cut case of you can't fight city hall," she said.

Sonny was sure this was a targeted attack. "Drew Cain got a little power, and he wants to come after me and Jason cause he got his little feelings hurt," Sonny said. Diane suggested that Sonny convince the people of Port Charles to back him.

"You have been a very generous benefactor to this city for many years, but most of that has been anonymous. That was to stop right now," Diane declared.

At Diane and Alexis' office, Marco walked in to find Jason sitting behind Diane's desk holding a gavel. "Diane's my lawyer too, and I've got some questions for you," Jason said. He wanted to know why Marco chose Miller & Davis. Marco claimed he'd interviewed at four local firms and got offers from three. "This firm practices the kind of law I like," Marco said.

Jason was convinced that Sidwell wanted him to choose Miller & Davis. "My father doesn't place me anywhere," Marco argued. Jason informed Marco that none of this was a coincidence, including Sidwell moving his business to Port Charles the same night of the explosion in Sonny's penthouse. Jason put Marco on warning, just as Lucas walked in.
