General Hospital's John Stamos (ex-Blackie Parrish) is the proud new father of a baby boy, which he's named after his father.
America watched former General Hospital star John Stamos (ex-Blackie Parrish) help raise three little girls as Uncle Jesse on Full House. Now they'll get to watch him raise a little boy, as the actor took to social media to announce the arrival of his new son.
Stamos shared a beautiful black-and-white photo of himself with his tiny bundle of joy, whom he shares with wife Caitlyn McHugh, with the caption: "From now on, the best part of me will always be my wife and my son. Welcome Billy Stamos (named after my father)."
He also gave a subtle wink to his Full House role, using the hashtag #NotJustanUncleAnymore.

"I'll be a fun dad. I've been practicing for a long time," he joked to People, adding, "I've done every schtick you can do with a baby on TV ... all the bits and jokes and diaper gags. I'll probably just do all that stuff."
In reality, he's thrilled for the chance to be a parent in real life and looks to his late father for inspiration.
"I will certainly fall short of the father my pop was, but -- I'm going to give it my all!" he shared on Instagram back in December.
As Soap Central previously reported, Stamos tied the knot with McHugh earlier this year, following the announcement in late 2017 that she was expecting.
"I've been waiting for the perfect girl for over a decade, and she walked into my life," he said at the time. "I mean everybody knows that I've always loved family, and I wanted to have a family some day and get married again, and everyone's like, 'Why don't you just do it!? Why don't you just do it!?'"
Before becoming one of TV's most famous father figures (or rather, uncle figures), Stamos starred as GH's Blackie, a musician who called Port Charles home from 1982 to 1984. His more recent credits include Grandfathered, Necessary Roughness, The New Normal, and Glee.
