Sacha Baron Cohen is a Golden Globe-winning actor who has been working for more than three decades in the film industry. He is famous for his on-screen personas such as Ali G, Admiral General Aladeen, Borat, and more. Before he rose to fame, Cohen started his career in the satirical late-night British television comedy series, The 11 O'Clock Show. This was how the character Ali G was born, which prompted Sacha to create the satirical sketch comedy show, Da Ali G Show.

Sacha Baron Cohen was heavily inspired by comedian Peter Sellers. Per Wikipedia, the Dictator actor described Sellers as:

"...this incredibly realistic actor, who was also hilarious and who managed to bridge the gap between comedy and satire," he added that Peter Sellers was "the most seminal force in shaping [his] early ideas on comedy."

Another major character Sacha Cohen Baron played was Borat Sagdiyev, a Kazakh journalist who was created for F2F on Granada Talk TV in the UK. A feature film (mockumentary) titled Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan was created, and Cohen played the role of Borat.
