More about Keith Leak Jr's cancer journey

Earlier this week, a GoFundMe page was launched to help Keith with his cancer treatment expenses.

“Hey, everyone! It is with a heavy heart that we are having to create this fundraiser for Keith. His cancer is back. Keith has received the results of his scans and can now confirm the return of four cancerous tumors. Two are located near his diaphragm and two on his liver,” the description began.
It continued to read, “He will need daily medicine, weekly labs, monthly scans, and possibly more surgeries. That is why we are reaching out to the larger community that knows and loves Keith. All of the donations are going directly to Keith for him to use as he needs while he battles cancer.”

The fundraiser urged Leak Jr’s fans, followers, and well-wishers to pray for him, contribute, and spread the word in the community to help “save his life.”

Leak Jr was diagnosed with cancer in April 2021. Back then, he had noted “staying hopeful” and telling his social media followers that his cancer was “treatable.” Subsequently, he underwent surgery in July 2023 to remove his gastrointestinal stromal tumor (GIST).

Following his release from the hospital, he wrote on Instagram that he officially “KICKED CANCER’S A**” but had a long road to recovery. Last year, he also marked the anniversary of being cancer-free and celebrated his “healing one day at a time.”

Keith Leak Jr shared his suspicion that his cancer had relapsed in a recent episode of his Double Take podcast. In the June 25, 2025, episode, Keith told his viewers, “I am pretty sure my tumor has come back.

“I do not feel good, y’all. I’m pretty sure my tumor has come back. I go through like pains, aches. Right now, I feel good. I took some Tylenol just to help me with everything so we can film today, but my stomach is starting to grow,” Keith Leak Jr told his co-host Noah Grossman.

Revealing that his tumor named “Amelie” is back, he added having difficulty walking and getting out of bed, while his neck hurts.

“As light as I’m trying to make it now, y’all, if you guys knew how I truly felt on the inside, it wouldn’t be a laughing matter. But we’re here! Let’s pod!” he concluded.

Last month, he updated his Instagram followers that he is “pushing through with a smile, a [fire] fit, and some friends.” Over this week, he also thanked his followers for donating to his fundraiser.

An exclusive Smoshalike interview with Keith Leak Jr will drop on August 20, 2025, according to his latest IG Story.
