Julia and Rudy made their relationship official a few months before the birth of their first child, Romeo, who was born on May 6, 2024. After their announcement, the couple worked hard to keep their relationship out of the public eye. Despite this, Julia Bonilla has continued to support her NBA boyfriend.

Sources told the news outlet that the breakup was a big shock, as the family recently had a sweet moment at Minnesota's final regular-season game on April 13.
According to TMZ’s sources, the couple's relationship took a bad turn when Julia Bonilla revealed that she was pregnant with their second child. The news outlet reports that Julia wanted to move back to France with her baby following the split, but was stopped by Rudy, who wants them to stay back in the States to figure out child custody.
Julia shared a heartfelt reflection about her breakup in a recent statement on her official Instagram story.
“I'm going through one of the most painful times in my life, feeling isolated far from my family and friends. I considered Rudy the love of my life. I left everything for him. I gave him a child and poured my heart into our relationship. When everyone criticized and insulted him, I stood by him, always putting him first and choosing him, always.”
She continued:

Following Julia’s statement, Rudy also took to his Instagram to address their breakup, which he confirms, but claimed there were numerous “inaccuracies.”
“A lot of inaccurate information out there. .. .Julia and I are currently in the painful process of redefining our co-parenting relationship. Being a father is one of the most profound and meaningful experience I will get to live.”
“It is one of my most important life purposes and will be so forever. I'm fully committed to keep supporting the well-being of all the people that I care about. I'm asking everyone to please refrain from speculating and to respect our privacy in these difficult times,” the Timberwolves center added.
After her breakup with the NBA star, Julia has made her Instagram account private, despite having over 17,000 followers. As someone who has always valued her privacy, Julia has now further restricted the information available to the public.
