Famous Canadian actress Rachel McAdams, best known for classic Hollywood movies such as Mean Girls and The Notebook, will be receiving a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in the year 2026.
McAdams has had a successful career on the screen; however, off-screen, she has kept her personal life extremely private. This includes her relationship with her partner, Jamie Linden, a successful screenwriter and director.
McAdams and Linden were first linked together in 2016 after they were photographed together in Paris. Since then, the two have kept a relatively low profile, avoiding red carpet appearances and keeping their relationship mostly out of the press.
According to E! News, though private, the couple has been heard to have two kids: a son, born in 2018, and a daughter, welcomed in late 2020.
Jamie Linden, a Florida native, was raised in Winter Park and graduated from Florida State University, studying digital media production and marketing.
After relocating to Los Angeles, he made an appearance on a game show called The Price Is Right and won $5,000 and a wine server cart. This unexpected victory encouraged him to stick around the city, a move that would later shape his career in film.
"I got a temp job reading screenplays and was fascinated by them. I was hired and fired from a few assistant jobs so I figured I'd try writing a script myself." He told Florida State University in an interview.
Linden’s feature screenwriting debut came with 2006’s We Are Marshall, starring Matthew McConaughey, and he subsequently wrote the screenplay for Dear John and Money Monster, the latter starring George Clooney and Julia Roberts, per People Magazine.
"The first screenplay I wrote with my friend Cory Helms, a University of Florida grad, unfortunately, was called Things to Do Before I Die. We got really lucky and Warner Bros. bought it and gave us a blind deal for another script." Linden added.
