John Eimen, known for his work as a child actor on Leave It to Beaver, died at the age of 76. According to Deadline, his family confirmed that he passed away at his home in Mukilteo, Washington, after a short battle with prostate cancer.

Eimen was not involved in acting for very long. He eventually ventured into other areas such as music and aviation, and lived several years in foreign countries. His wife and children were close to him at every stage of his life, and was married to his wife, Midori, for over 50 years.

Eimen notably featured in shows such as The Untouchables, Wagon Train, and Have Gun- Will Travel. He was also a part of the Ronald Reagan-hosted show called General Electric Theater from 1958-1962.

John Eimen’s wife is named Midori, and were married for approximately 51 years. According to Deadline, the two met in the 1970s in Japan, where Eimen had gone to work and do music.

John Eimen and Midori share two children, Daniel and Chris. They also share two grandchildren, Lucas and Oliver.

In the mid-1990s, the family relocated to the United States and Eimen worked as a flight attendant for 25 years. During his last months, his children and grandchildren were close to him.

Life beyond acting

John Eimen started as a child actor in programs like Leave It to Beaver, McKeever and the Colonel, and The Twilight Zone. However, he left acting at a young age and decided to take another route and transitioned into music, where he devoted a significant amount of his time as a singer, guitarist, and songwriter. He was also residing in Japan at this time, teaching English and playing in clubs and on television.

Apart from that, he would frequently model for print ads. He was notably featured in a print ad for Carnation Instant Milk in 1959. And, according to a passage he wrote for TVparty, the ad made him,

"the earliest model with a milk mustache,"

John Eimen returned to the United States with his family in the mid-1990s. He later went to work as a flight attendant for a major American airline. This marked the end of his 25-year career, which he retired from in 2020.

Those who observed him said that he not only appreciated his work but also appreciated his life at home.
