Actor Jake Lockett, known for his previous roles in Chicago Fire and Revenge Ride, has tied the knot with actress Dominique Domingo. She was recently seen in Gavin O’Connor’s The Accountant 2. According to an exclusive report by People Magazine, the marriage took place on June 18, 2025.
Jake Lockett and Domingo got married amidst nature, close to the Kalihiwai Falls in Hawaii. The reason they chose to elope is that they wanted to keep their affairs uncomplicated, as it was a significant moment in their lives.
They had a destination wedding in Hawaii in the presence of their parents. It was an intimate ceremony that followed a dress code of earth tones. Speaking to the magazine, Dominique Domingo said:
“The theme was about letting nature take the lead. There was no need for added décor because Mother Nature handled it all. We wanted the vibe to be serene, intimate and peaceful and that’s exactly what it was.”
Domingo acted in films like Everything You Are and La La Land. She is also a member of the BG5 girl group, as per her IMDb profile. Besides acting, she also loves to dance and occasionally shares reels and videos of her dance routines on Instagram.
She told People Magazine that she did not have a second thought about getting married on the island because she loves nature and felt more connected when she wasn’t indoors. Speaking of the place where she got married to Jake Lockett, Dominique Domingo said:
“There is something special and healing about the energy of the island. The smell of the air, being immersed in the lush greenery everywhere you go and, of course, the water.”
What was the water ritual in Jake Lockett and Dominique Domingo’s wedding?
Dominique Domingo explained that they used ocean water, holding it together in a bowl while their families connected with them by placing a hand on their shoulders. Before the ceremony started, their officiant used a Hawaiian ti leaf for ritualistic purification of the place. Explaining the ceremony, she said:
“We took a moment in silence the day before the ceremony where we each held our separate vessels and felt into what we wanted to give to our union as individuals and we directed that energy into the sand.”
Dominique Domingo added:
“At the end of the ceremony, we poured each of our vessels of sand into one bottle, combining the two into one.”
Meanwhile, Jake Lockett said getting married near a waterfall felt like everything had come full circle. The actor mentioned:
“We both felt like anything bigger than our immediate family wouldn’t allow us to focus on each other as much on our day. So, keeping it small and simple was imperative.”
Dominique Domingo shared that she had never felt more understood, safe, and supported by anyone the way she did with Jake Lockett. In the past, she feared that no partner would ever be able to support her as well as she supported herself, though maybe no one was meant to.
However, she loved how much fun she had with Jake Lockett, especially how often they laughed. But what she appreciated most was that they always freely expressed their love for each other.
