TV producer and talent agent Michael Carlton Cal Boyington, who worked on the popular American reality TV show The Osbournes, was found dead at his home at the age of 53.
His brother, B.G Dickey, confirmed the news to Deadline after he was found unresponsive at his home in San Pedro, Los Angeles, California. As per The Hollywood Reporter, a medical examiner stated the cause of death to be a heart attack, but it hasn't been confirmed yet until the completion of toxicology tests.
Boyington was a veteran TV talent agent who co-founded Vital Artists Agency and executive produced the series - Workaholics.

Born as Michael Carlton Boyington in Kansas City in 1971, he went to Battle Mountain High School and Colorado State University in Fort Collins before he decided to move to LA to pursue a career in the entertainment industry. Cal worked as an unscripted agent at ICM Partners and head of alternative programming at Paradigm Talent Agency before he founded his talent firm - Vital Artists Agency, in 2020 with Rebel Entertainment senior unscripted agents Phil Irven and April Yuan.
He is best known for his contribution to the MTV hit show, The Osbournes, which aired from 2002 to 2005 and revolved around the life of Ozzy Osbourne and his family.
The other partners went their separate ways last year, making Cal the sole owner of the company, its trademark, and its logo. The company, while announcing the split in a statement to Deadline in April 2023, said,
"The split was solely amicable and that all parties herein remain solely focused on their clients and the bright future ahead."
The agency was known to have a wide clientele, including Valerie Chow, Moira Noriega, and Vivian Payton, with production companies such as Sunwise Media, Empty Quarter Studios, and Dola Media.
Along with Workaholics, Cal Boyington also executively produced the Hulu docudrama R5Sons Alaska, Discovery Channel's Bible Quest, VH1's Cabo, and HDNet's The Baker Boys. His obituary describes Cal as,
"known for his boundless energy, magnetic personality, and zest for life. He was truly the life of every party, possessing an extrordinary ability to light up a room and bring joy to everyone he met. Those who know Cal would attest to his unwavering passion for living each day to its fullest."
Cal Boyington is survived by his parents, Mike Boyington in Sao Paulo, Brazil, and Travis "Penny" Farrar in Little Rock, Arkansas. He also has a younger brother, B.G Dickey, in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
