Britney Spears hints at a future live performance after almost a decade with a very special collaborator.
Spears, whose last live performance was in 2018 as part of her Pieces Of Me tour, has for years not made any hints of coming back into the music scene, with even doubling down in 2022 by saying she has no intention of performing ever again.
However, it might not be a long time, as the Toxic singer hints at a possible comeback very soon. In her latest Instagram post, featuring an image of the singer sitting onstage in a white ensemble along with a white piano at the 2002 American Music Awards, she stated,
"Sending this piano to my son this year!!! Interestingly enough, I dance on IG to heal things in my body that people have no idea about."
Referring to the piano in the image and her 19-year-old son, Jayden Federline.
She further added,
"Yup and it’s embarrassing sometimes… but I walked through the fire to save my life… I will never perform in the U.S. again because of extremely sensitive reasons but I hope to be sitting on a stool with a red rose in my hair, in a bun, performing with my son… in the UK and AUSTRALIA very soon. He’s a huge star and I’m so humbled to be in his presence!!! God speed, little man!!!"
Claiming to never perform in the USA ever again for reasons unknown. Having complicated relationships with her family members, it seems the mother of two is quite close to her son. Britney Spears shares two sons with Kevin Federline, Sean Preston Federline, and Jayden Federline.
After concluding her 2018 tour, she was supposed to come back to Vegas for a second residency in 2019, which ultimately got postponed and then cancelled due to family matters.
Britney Spears had written on Instagram at the time, "I don’t even know where to start with this, because this is so tough for me to say. I will not be performing my new show Domination. I’ve been looking forward to this show and seeing all of you this year, so doing this breaks my heart. However, it’s important to always put your family first… and that’s the decision I had to make.”
Britney Spears has not released a new album since her 2016 record Glory. Her last performance was on October 21, 2018, in Austin, Texas.
