Hollywood stars Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt indulged in a rare moment together at the London premiere of Pitt's new Formula One movie. Fans went wild for their long-awaited public reunion after 24 years. The June 23 premiere at Cineworld Leicester Square not only featured Cruise attending the screening, but the fans were treated to the Top Gun star waxing lyrical about Pitt's new film.

This is an important milestone for both of these stars, as they last worked together in the 1994 cult film Interview With the Vampire. The two have rarely been seen together in public since then. Their reunion was not only nostalgic but also full of respect for one another's work, as Cruise would later post on social media.

“You guys crushed it!” Tom Cruise raves about Pitt’s F1 film

Tom Cruise, star of the Mission: Impossible series and death-defying stunts, did not hold back in his praise of Brad Pitt's acting in the as-yet-untitled Formula One movie. Having met with Pitt at the premiere, Tom Cruise made his gushes of admiration public on Instagram and X (formerly Twitter).

“Great night at the movies with my friends!!” Cruise posted, sharing a photo of himself with Pitt in front of a sleek F1 race car. “You guys crushed it!!” he added in the caption, applauding both the film’s cast and crew, which includes director Joseph Kosinski and legendary producer Jerry Bruckheimer.

Their fans were delighted to witness the two leading men in unison once again because this was their first red-carpet photo-op since 2001, when both of them had a brief reunion at America: A Tribute to Heroes, a charity concert. The Leicester Square red carpet was abuzz as Tom Cruise welcomed Pitt warmly with a hug and a handshake, framing a touching moment between the two stars.

Why won’t Pitt be in the next Mission: Impossible?

Though the reunion sparked fan speculation about a possible future collaboration, Pitt humorously shut down the idea of joining Tom Cruise’s adrenaline-fueled Mission: Impossible series. Speaking with E! News, the Oscar-winning actor explained why he wouldn’t be hanging from planes anytime soon.

“I’m not gonna hang my *ss off an airplane,” Pitt joked, referencing Cruise’s infamous stunt work. “I tend to avoid s--t like that as an actor.”

While a second on-screen pairing might not be on the immediate horizon, both stars clearly value their friendship and professional respect. Cruise’s attendance at the F1 premiere and his glowing remarks underscore just how much he appreciates Pitt’s latest endeavor, even if he can’t convince him to go airborne for a stunt!
