Rihanna is all in praise of boxer Claressa Shields. On January 9, the X account ‘@Hoopss’ shared a video of RiRi and her partner A$AP Rocky cozying up in love. The post was captioned:

“Rihanna is gone.”

The singer commented on the post:

“Claressa Shields type gone bout him!!”

Shields reposted the comment on X, writing:

“period @rihanna only way to be about a good man.”

This light-hearted exchange comes days after Shields clarified that her partner and rapper Papoose did not spend time with his ex-wife, despite netizens claiming so. On December 30, Shields shared an X post, writing:

“Ms. Body giving tea!!!! Ms. Never took ozempic!”

In the comment section, an X user (@lmHoneyy) wrote:

“How you feel about Pap spending Christmas with his wife and daughter?”

Shields replied:

“Pap spent Christmas with his mother and family. Not his EX wife! You are misinformed for sure.”

Previously, Papoose and 50 Cent were caught up in a feud. Fif posted a clip of Papoose’s estranged wife, Remy Ma, commenting about her former partner. Remy was heard, saying:

Claressa Shields seemingly responded to this, writing:

Claressa Shields talks about meeting Papoose

In May 2025, Claressa Shields appeared on The Breakfast Club podcast, where she addressed her relationship with Papoose. Shields said that she and Pap were together and happy. She explained that they spent a lot of time together, traveled together, and even trained together.

She mentioned that he helped her pack before she left and that they had just returned from Los Angeles. She felt secure in their relationship and did not feel the need to argue with anyone about her place in his life. She added that while some things still needed to be dealt with, they were not her responsibility to handle. When asked how she knew Papoose was the right person for her, Claressa Shields said:

“I just remember like Pap, he walked up to me and he shook my hand, which I was like, who the f*ck shake hands? That was kind of my mind like what the h*ll? Claressa Shields said many celebrities tell her that they would come to her matches, but they don’t. She thought this would be the case with Papoose, too. He eventually came to her match. Shields said that when she met him in-person, she liked him as she thought he was a kind person.
