Prominent American guitarist and musician, John Anthony White, commonly known as Jack White, has recently been in the news for his animosity toward President Donald Trump and his feud with the White House.
According to Variety, the conflict between the 50-year-old rockstar and the White House began when Jack White, earlier this week, took to his Instagram and shared a picture of the Oval Office, describing it as "disgusting." He also called it a "vulgar, gold-leafed and gaudy, professional wrestler's dressing room".
Following Jack White's post about the Oval Office, Steven Cheung, who is the communications director of the White House, took the opportunity to respond to White by calling him a "washed-up, has-been loser" and someone "masquerading as a real artist," in a statement provided to the Daily Beast.
Jack White, who is also a music producer and multi-instrumentalist, did not take Cheung's comments lightly and retaliated by criticizing Donald Trump in a long message on Instagram, as he described him as a danger "not just to America but the entire world, and that’s not an exaggeration."
Amid Jack White's feud with the White House, the netizens have been quite curious about the Blue Orchid hitmaker's net worth. Jack, who is a crucial figure in the revival of the 2000s garage rock genre, has had a successful career collaborating with other artists and as a solo musician.
According to Celebrity Net Worth, Jack White's current net worth is estimated at around $60 million.
On August 20, 2025, White took to his Instagram and shared a carousel post with a bunch of pictures of Trump and his long message in which he took a dig at the President. The caption of the post concluded with a Theodore Roosevelt quote. However, White's message about Trump read:
"How petty and pathetic and thin skinned could this administration get? ‘Masquerading as a real artist’? Thank you for giving me my tombstone engraving! Well here’s my opinion, trump is masquerading as a human being."
While he called Karoline Leavitt and Steven Cheung "professional liar toadies", he wrote about Trump and his followers:
"That orange grifter has spent more tax payer money cheating at golf than helping ANYONE in the country. Improve. Anything. There is no progress with him, only smoke and mirrors and tax breaks for the ultra wealthy. So maga folk, enjoy your concrete paving over of the rose garden, your 200 million dollar ballroom in the White House, and your gaudy ass gold spray painted trinkets from Home Depot, cause he ain’t spending any money on helping YOU unless you fit into his white supremacist country club rich idiot agenda. Wow, he hates who you hate….good for you, be proud of yourselves, how christian of you all."
While calling Trump a "conman" and a "low-life fascist", White concluded his message by writing:
"And no I’m not a Democrat either, I’m a human being raised in Detroit, I’m an artist who’s owned his own businesses like his own upholstery shop and recording label since he was 21 years old who has enough street sense to know when a 3 card monte dealer is a cheap grifter and a thief."

Jack White filed a lawsuit against Donald Trump in 2024

Jack White, who gained global fame as the lead guitarist and frontman of the rock duo The White Stripes, was never a big fan of Donald Trump. In September 2024, White and his band member, Meg White, sued Trump over the "flagrant misappropriation" of their super-popular song, Seven Nation Army, after it was used in a Twitter (now X) video, in which Trump was walking to the beat of the song. However, the video is no longer available on the mentioned social media platform, as it has been deleted.
