Grammy-nominated rapper Latto took to Instagram on Tuesday, October 8, to tease a collaboration with Yadira Ramirez. The latter was a former Waffle House employee allegedly fired for engaging in the rapper's viral "Brokey" challenge. The carousel of images shows the two posing for what looks to be an upcoming music video.

Last month, Ramirez posted TikTok videos of herself doing the challenge, but two days later, she uploaded an update: she had been fired. According to her, despite a signed six-year tenure, she was cast on the “unable to rehire” list. The two met up later that month, with Latto even gifting Ramirez $10,000.

The internet was seemingly elated at such news despite it being unconfirmed. Many took to the post's comments section to laud the rapper for her moves. As one user stated,

"Waffle House fumbled soooo bad."

"we are all so seated for this latto!!" yet another chimed in.

Several others online were teeming with the news of a possible music video.

"The waffle house reference is genius," one user claimed.
"This why we love you, the waffles," another tweeted.
"PLSSSS!!! This is why I won’t ever not like you," yet another echoed.

Others were just proud of the singer for stepping up for the employee.

Latto says she'll give $10,000 to anyone with the best music video

On September 15, the rapper announced on X that she would be gifting anyone who made the best video for her song Brokey. Her tweet read:

"I hate that y’all think I was calling hard workers brokeys. So I got $10k for whoever make the best video at they job to brokey & I’ll fly u out to be in the music video…no mo waiting til ur bday to go outta town. Tag me & hashtag #Brokey so I can see them all.”

Not long after, Yadira uploaded a TikTok of her, alongside four other Waffle House employees, doing the challenge. The clip went viral quickly; notably, Yadira showed up 16 seconds into the 27-second video.

In a 47-second update video, she revealed that she was fired "a day after posting one video that harms nobody. That everybody was actually, literally rooting for and happy about. But whatever." Furthermore, she disclosed that she was the only one out of the lot that got fired.
