Connie Francis, 87, singer of the viral Pretty Little Baby was hospitalized in Florida on July 2, as per her Facebook page. While the cause behind hospitalization is not known, her Facebook page mentioned that she had been suffering from "extreme pain."
Radio personality Cousin Brucie, had earlier announced that Francis was in the hospital on July 2. Hours later, the singer revealed that she was "back in hospital" and "undergoing tests and checks to determine the cause(s) of the extreme pain." The singer while speaking to People in a May 25 article had mentioned that a hip injury had temporarily landed her in a wheelchair. However, it is unclear if the hip injury has anything to do with her current hospitalization.
The singer took to Facebook, saying:
"I had hoped to take part in Brucie's show for Independence Day, having had to cancel a previous slot a few weeks ago when receiving treatment on my hip. Sadly, I had to let him know that I again had to withdraw. My thanks for your many get well soon messages. I will endeavor to keep you updated. Love, Connie."
A few hours later, Connie Francis revealed that she received a series of tests and examinations, and was transferred out of the Intensive Care Unit to a private room.

Connie Francis, 87, was a well known singer in the 50s, and has risen to fame in the 21st generation after her 1960s hit song, Pretty Little Baby found a new platform on TikTok. The clip has been frequently used as audio for video clips on social media platforms such as TikTok and Instagram.
While the song was originally released around 70 years ago, The New York Times reported in June that the audio had been used over 600,000 times as an audio backtrack. After learning that her song had been a hit, Connie Francis shared her heartfelt reaction on social media, sharing:
"Thank you Ron for posting this link. My thanks to TikTok and its members for the wonderful, and oh so unexpected, reception given to my 1961 recording 'Pretty Little Baby.' The first I learned of it was when Ron called to advise me that I had 'a viral hit.' Clearly out of touch with present day music statistics terminology, my initial response was to ask; 'What's that?' Thank you everyone!"
The singer's Stupid Cupid, had also resurfaced after it was revived by Mandy Moore on The Princess Diaries soundtrack in 2001.
