The Face Of Horror is an upcoming horror film set in 14th-century England and is loosely based on Yotsuya Kaidan, which is a Japanese folk horror story. The film is backed by Mike Goodridge's banner Good Chaos Productions, while Anna Biller is the director.

The cast members of the film continue to expand. So far, there have been multiple actors who are attached to star in it, including Jonah Hauer-King, Leo Suter, and Ellie Bamber, among others. Now, an actor from The Witcher has joined the cast, and that person is Ben Radcliffe. So let us get into the details.

Ben Radcliffe joins The Face Of Horror

Deadline has reported that British actor Ben Radcliffe has joined the cast of the forthcoming period horror film The Face Of Horror. Radcliffe has acted in an episode of The Witcher and has done projects like Cuban Fry, The Evermoor Chronicles, and Masters of the Air.

The character he will play in The Face Of Horror is named Roger. Other cast members that have been confirmed so far are Kristine Froseth, Jonah Hauer-King, Leo Suter, Ellie Bamber, and Bella Heathcote. The film is about Edward Carnifex (played by Hauer-King), who ties the knot with Eleanor (Froseth), his long-time love interest. However, Edward quickly gets bored with her and courts a rich noblewoman. Eleanor, meanwhile, decides to seek revenge on him. The character of Beatrice, Eleanor’s sister, is played by Ellie Bamber. Leo Suter is playing the role of Richard, the suitor of Beatrice.

The film is produced by Mike Goodridge (who has also backed titles like Left Handed Girl and Ballad Of A Small Player). Biller, who is the film's writer and director, is also its co-producer along with James Bowsher. Jared Sanford is serving as the executive producer. Biller's earlier directorial venture, The Love Witch, was also in the horror genre.

Speaking to Screen Daily, Biller spoke about the shoot:

“We have such breathtaking locations and such a stellar cast and crew that I’m a bit stunned by it all. I’m thrilled to be working with Good Chaos and Sirena Films to bring this beautiful ghost story to life.”

Embankment Films will be distributing the film globally. David Mullen is the director of photography for the film. He is also a frequent collaborator of Biller. The shooting is planned to start in July in Prague, Czech Republic.
