Magician and illusionist Criss Angel, who is married to musician and songwriter Shaunyl Benson, recently shared an Instagram post, writing that he was cheated on by his partner, although he did not mention any name. Netizens speculated that his post could be targeted at Shaunyl.
Meanwhile, Benson shared an Instagram post on October 10, in which she posted a self-recorded video, saying that someone was trying to defame her. She said:

“I didn’t want to have to blow up my entire life on social media and share the parts of my personal life with everybody. I have tried to like, you know, just be positive and try and get a message out there. For women.”
She went on to say:
“Didn’t want to have to do this, but it’s become apparent to me that somebody’s actually lying about me, defaming me, and spreading stuff about me.”
Shaunyl Benson then went on to explain her side of the story. She said a few years back, she had her daughter. At the time she was breastfeeding her, she was informed that young girls were sending “heart-shattering things” to their boss, and the news completely disturbed her.
She said she was a good woman and had done a lot of forgiving to make her family work. Shaunyl Benson mentioned that she had turned a blind eye on multiple occasions, while saying:
“There’s nothing that I can’t forgive that I can’t look aside for the kids. But you know what that means? Staying for the kids doesn’t make you a martyr. It makes you a liar.”

Shaunyl Benson said that after learning about what those girls sent the person, she decided not to allow that anymore and tried to detach. She tried to take a different path. Reflecting on that moment, she made a mistake by not leaving everything when breastfeeding her daughter. Sharing what the reality was for her at the time, Benson said,
“I have been a mother for almost 12 years and I don’t have any assets. You don’t get paid for being a mother.”
She said for the last four years, she was doing everything for the kids and not to leave the situation. Benson said she couldn’t put the past behind her and focus on the present. She said:
“Because all it ended up doing was teaching me to love myself, teaching me that it’s okay if it doesn’t work. It’s okay if you don’t want to stay for the kids. It’s okay. You are only letting everyone down if you are living a lie.”
Shaunyl Benson said her relationship faced issues of infidelity. She also consulted her lawyer so that they could find a way out of the situation. She even questioned herself and thought she could make it work. Benson claimed:
“I am a human woman. I haven’t spoken to a male in 12 years almost.”
She said she sent a message to a rockstar and was unsure if he would reply. She said she needed to be accountable for her life. However, Shaunyl Benson noted that the conversation did not continue beyond a certain point, and he became involved with another woman.
